The role

Required skills and experience
We’re looking for candidates with clinical or operational experience in the NHS. You’ll be a talented communicator an exceptional project manager who can confidently oversee complex initiatives and make complicated issues easy to understand.
You should also have experience in analysing business and technical requirements or even training in Epic software. Strong leadership skills, IT literacy and a keen sense of strategy are also essential.
You’ll also need a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject. A relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred, but not essential.

The Shared Services team develops security critical services for teams across Sage which are used in our products worldwide. Services such as Sage ID, SLCS and Developer Experience are crucial to Sage’s business plans and long term objectives. The Senior Security Services Developer joining this growing team will be responsible for building, enhancing and maintaining these services.
The Senior Software Engineer will assume ownership in the design, develop and delivery of highly securesystems and services that exceed customers’ or business partners’ expectations and will proactively share their own knowledge for specific technical solutions and business processes in their area of responsibility. They will also interact frequently with teams across Sage to promote best practices and advise on the most effective way to use the services to meet product requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
For Senior Developer
• Possess and apply a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of software development to the completion of difficult assignments.
• Successful develop, delivery maintain high quality software (requirements, design, code, documentation, etc.)
• Work with product managers early on to shape product definition so that it can be built in flexible, extensible, and robust way
• Keep up to date with relevant technology areas.
• Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
• Evaluates progress and results and recommends major changes in procedures.
• Partner effectively with all team members to deliver against commitments
• Thought leader and deliver deep technical expertise for PD that drives colleague engagement, clarity and instils a culture of innovation and execution
• Work cross-functionally with various Sage teams: product management, QA/XD, various product lines, or business units to drive forward results
• Mentoring and coaching to junior members of the development team.

• Extensive experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, and/or Extreme Programming methodologies
• Maintain relevant documentation to describe logic, coding/configuration, testing and changes where applicable.

• Influences and drives team adherence to development processes and creation/maintenances of technical documentations and guides
• Partakes and drives participation in Agile processes, leading agile ceremonies where needed
• Analyses, architects and develops new products/features in a maintainable high quality way.
• Actively writes codes, conducts code reviews, and unit testing
• Coaches and mentors other developers
• Owns technical relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensures good communication and escalation practices are adhered to.
• Contributes to the wider team development practices to aid continual improvement across the field.

Our dynamic business partner are looking to add to their team of Sales/Application Engineers. They have a winning reputation of providing mixing process machinery to their blue chip customers. For well over 25 years this company has established its reputation of supplying high quality process equipment into the likes of Warburtons, Nestle and Tangerine.
About the role
As an Application Engineer, you’ll be combining a unique mix of sales, process, engineering, and project management. You’ll be acting as a technical expert working on specific markets, focusing on mixing process and design to support all product ranges,
You’ll do this by providing application and quotation support to our sales representatives. You’ll review the customer specifications. Based on their requirements, you’ll be able to define a mixer process solution that suits the customer’s needs,
This initially will be primarily office base with a view to it progressing out onto the road as and when the expertise are learnt,
Key Resposibilities;
Assisting in the mechanical design aspects of equioment,
Developing pricing strategies with regional sales management,
Providing direct technical support of applications with customers in support of sales,
Assisting the sales process with training and technical application support offsite,
Develop technical materials and presentations in support of projects and markets,
Maintaining quotation logs, schedules, and performance measures,
Developing and maintaining product knowledge,
Engaging with existing clients daily and networking
Due to the nature of the role, there are opportunities to travel across the UK to our customers’ sites, so you can expect to travel between 15-20% of your time.
Requirements
This is a challenging role where you’ll undertake a considerable amount of training for the first 12 months. We’re looking for positive, enthusiastic people who are self-reliant and motivated to set their own goals and are driven to achieve them and grow beyond. A degree in Engineering, ideally 2:1 and above,
12 months industry experience,
