The position:

 

We are currently recruiting for an entry level Component Assembly Technician to join our team. Reporting to the Component Assembly team leader, the individual would receive additional training to be competent in the following tasks/duties -

 

  • Assembly
  • Service and sign-off of assemblies required for the running of race, test, PR and customer cars and rigs.
  • Sub-assembly components and experience in the assembly / rebuilding of such components.
  • The ability to work with multiple departments within the production team to ensure cohesion and continuity.

Ideal credentials

 

The ideal candidate would have recently completed their apprenticeship or formal training preferably in motorsport or would have previous experience in build, strip, service & sign-off testing of mechanical components or assemblies, be capable of following & conforming to our current Engineering and Manufacturing policies and procedures.They will play an important part in assisting to improve the department’s performance, whilst maintaining a high standard of staff and department presentation.

 

In compliance with national Secure Freight Consigner conditions, five years’ continuous employment, education and/or training must be evidenced and any gaps exceeding 28 days accounted for.  A criminal record check will also be carried out.  This will be explained in more detail during interview.

Here at Gi Group, we are recruiting for 7 Assembly Operatives to join our prestigious, automotive client based in Woking. We plan for the start dates to span across the first two weeks in January 2021 and the role will be ongoing on a temporary, weekly paid basis.
The process will include a telephone interview followed if successful, by an assessment process.
Our client is looking for dedicated, talented individuals seeking a career and for the right people there are permanent opportunities in the pipeline after a temporary trial period.
As one of our clients production team members, you will be working in a small multi-functional team where you are empowered to improve the way they do things; particularly around quality, cost control, productivity and safety.
Who are we looking for?
* You will naturally have an understanding and ability to follow detailed work instructions to enable the construction, painting or assembling of vehicles or other mechanical assemblies.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure to ensure all operations are completed within the given timeframe and to the required standards
* Being a Team Player is a must! You will work together to define and solve problems that may affect the quality, cost or productivity of the production process. You will also act as brand ambassadors by ensuring your stations are kept clean and tidy in line with the expectations of the business.

The position:

 

We are looking to recruit a Composite Services Technician to support and assist the Composite Team. This is a key role which enables the Composite Department to maintain excellent standards for producing component parts.  

 

Role responsibilities (Training will be provided if required):

  • Maintain and operate the Auto claves and report any issues
  • Maintain and operate the etch plant and report any issue
  • Maintain and operate the Cutting bench and report any issues
  • Maintain and operate the Aqua blasters and report any issues
  • Sort Grey boxes daily and keep them stocked with kits, inserts and cores
  • Inform Production when missing inserts and cores from Grey boxes
  • Keep cutting list updated and correct at all times
  • Keep material stock records and inform management when running low of stock
  • Keep check of stock life and report to Management when four weeks to expiry date
  • Check booking out of core shelf daily and hand to Stores the booking sheet
  • For one of the team to attend the daily production meeting at 10am. (Via Teams)
  • Make sure all paperwork is correct and completed at all times before starting the nextoperation.
  • Prepare parts to be sent to subcon and make sure all parts sent are recorded prior to departure

  • Attention to detail when producing kits for Composite Technicians
  • Keeping track of all material consumed
  • Desire to improving efficiencies
  • Help to improve efficiencies with the management of stock
  • Management and booking material in and out of the Department
  • Measuring out life of all materials
  • Maximising use of company assets at all times
