About the Company:

Opportunities are available for exceptional Nights Care Assistants to join an established, friendly, purpose built Residential Home located in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands. Flexible full and part time positions are available, and we welcome interest from Nights Care Assistants who are willing to work permanent nights. Successful candidates will earn an enhanced rate of £102 per night.

Our Residential Home provides a happy and homely environment for all 23 residents. It is an established family run venture, and strives to deliver high quality, person centred care within modern surroundings. The home specialises in encouraging and supporting each resident to remain as independent as possible, within a safe and caring environment. The home is located within a pleasant residential setting, with excellent transport links by bus and train.

Night Care Assistants Responsibilities:

•As a Nights Care Assistant you will consistently deliver a high standard of care to all our residents.
•Working under the direction of the Senior Care Assistant, you will support or assist residents to maintain all activities of daily living, ensuring that their personal care, physical and emotional needs are met.
•You will ensure that all residents are socially presentable in appearance when applicable and in accordance with their individual wishes, maintaining their dignity.
•When serving food to residents, ensure all meals and snacks are well presented and appealing, and assist residents with their nutritional intake as required.
•Support the Housekeeping staff to ensure all residents have a neat and tidy room, and that their clothing and equipment are clean and safely stored to minimise potential risk.
•Communicate professionally and warmly with residents, relatives, visiting health professionals and staff at all times.
•Ensure that residents night time care is delivered with minimal disruption, and enables residents to sleep peacefully, whilst maintaining their safety.

Night Care Assistants Requirements:

•NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
•6 months previous experience in direct care, preferably within an older person setting.
•Excellent interpersonal skills.
•Ability to prioritise care, and work under your own initiative.
•Ability to work as part of a team.
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
•A caring and compassionate disposition.

A FANTASTIC opportunity has arisen for an efficient,organised and experienced Care Assistant at our Bournville Gardens Village. 

We are offerening 20 hours weekly - This is a 12 months fixed contract -  Maternity cover. 

As a Care Assistant, it is desirable that you hold a NVQ L2 Qualification in Health & Social Care, alongside experience of a similar role.

It is equally important that you can demonstrate the right behaviours and attitude for working within adult social  care environment.

A full induction programme will be provided, alongside formal training opportunities.

The role will require you to work shifts on a rota.

Care Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Provide all aspects of personal care to residents
  • Promoting and support the physical, emotional and well being of residents
  • Encourage independence and self-belief
  • Provide a personalised housing related to support service
  • Supporting residents at meal times, in accordance with their individual needs
  • Ensure the environment is maintained to a high standard including shared areas
  • Contribute fully to team working, responding positively to colleagues and undertaking all reasonable work instructions promptly
  • Practice safe systems of work across the range of tasks and in particular moving and handling of Understand personal responsibilities with regard to Health and Safety at Work legislation, particularly in relation to moving and handling of residents and fire safety and evacuation procedures
  • Take an active interest in your personal and professional development by, contributing to supervision and appraisal meetings, attending team meetings and training
  • Adhere to all company and local policies/procedures
  • Develop positive professional relationships with residents, visitors and colleagues

Job Requirements:

  • Enthusiastic with a can do attitude to make a difference
  • Personable with ability to build rapport with residents

About the Company:

Opportunities are available for exceptional Nights Care Assistants to join an established, friendly, purpose built Residential Home located in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands. Flexible full and part time positions are available, and we welcome interest from Nights Care Assistants who are willing to work permanent nights. Successful candidates will earn an enhanced rate of £102 per night.

Our Residential Home provides a happy and homely environment for all 23 residents. It is an established family run venture, and strives to deliver high quality, person centred care within modern surroundings. The home specialises in encouraging and supporting each resident to remain as independent as possible, within a safe and caring environment. The home is located within a pleasant residential setting, with excellent transport links by bus and train.

Night Care Assistants Responsibilities:

•As a Nights Care Assistant you will consistently deliver a high standard of care to all our residents.
•Working under the direction of the Senior Care Assistant, you will support or assist residents to maintain all activities of daily living, ensuring that their personal care, physical and emotional needs are met.
•You will ensure that all residents are socially presentable in appearance when applicable and in accordance with their individual wishes, maintaining their dignity.
•When serving food to residents, ensure all meals and snacks are well presented and appealing, and assist residents with their nutritional intake as required.
•Support the Housekeeping staff to ensure all residents have a neat and tidy room, and that their clothing and equipment are clean and safely stored to minimise potential risk.
•Communicate professionally and warmly with residents, relatives, visiting health professionals and staff at all times.
•Ensure that residents night time care is delivered with minimal disruption, and enables residents to sleep peacefully, whilst maintaining their safety.

Night Care Assistants Requirements:

•NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
•6 months previous experience in direct care, preferably within an older person setting.
•Excellent interpersonal skills.
•Ability to prioritise care, and work under your own initiative.
•Ability to work as part of a team.
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
•A caring and compassionate disposition.
