Import/Export Coordinator
Newly Weds® Foods Ltd is looking to recruit an additional Import/Export Coordinator to join the Logistics team in a newly created role at our site in Banbury. The role will initially be for a six month period.
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join our expanding Logistics Team at our Banbury plant. The successful candidate will possess export documentation experience, ideally from a food manufacturing background. They will also have a sound knowledge of shipping and haulage distribution and the ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines. They will support the business in managing the import and export of goods to and from the EU after Brexit, while maintaining cost within the budget set.

The Banbury site manufactures food coatings systems, dry blends and bread crumbs. The site is a real success story and the team consistently deliver significant growth year on year. The Role
-Analysis of all supplier documentation against the business requirement.
-Liaising with relevant parties regarding export pricing and invoicing costs.
-Liaising with customer services and planning departments to ensure that all goods are manufactured in time to meet vehicle arrival times.
-Checking, raising and issuing of all relevant import and export documentation and purchase orders.
-Communicating with transport suppliers and customs clearance agents regarding any documentation issues.
-Requesting and controlling documentation relating to customs clearance.
-Liaising with export transport suppliers regarding daily delivery and reporting any delays to the customer services team.
-Monitoring of haulier performance levels, logging any non-conformances and reporting performance levels to the logistics manager.
-Assisting the logistics team with day to day operational requirements.
The Person
-Excellent communication, negotiation, delegation and problem solving skills;
-Previous export documentation, shipping and haulage distribution experience;
-Experience of working within a FMCG environment, with good geographical knowledge of Europe;
-Ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet tight deadlines;
-Ability to work under pressure in a busy and demanding environment;
-Good analytical and interpersonal skills;
-Computer literate, especially Excel;

Terms and conditions, include:
Salary - between £25,000 and £30,000 depending on skills and experience, pro-rata.
Working hours – 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
Benefits - a pension with 3% contributions, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays rising to 25 days after 5 years, 2 x salary death in service benefit, health care cash plan, as well as many others.
