Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity within a Department of Defense (DoD) Aviation Joint Program Office (JPO) responsible for defining affordable next-generation strike aircraft weapon systems for the Navy, Air Force, Marines, and our allies. This work consists of bringing cutting-edge technologies and support roles to the battle-space of the future. Specific support areas include Program Management Knowledge-Based Services (PM-KBS) such as contract management support; program management support; technical support; analytical support; administrative support; acquisition support; and operational support

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Collects complete, organizes, and interprets technical data and information relating to all aspects of the F-35 program for purposes of commercial licensing activities
• Assists in analyzing and summarizing arms control treaties and activities
• Maintains current information on U.S. and international policies, treaties, laws, etc., on the control of missile technology and related weapon delivery systems
• Researches analyze and provide draft recommendations on each MELA case and conduct export-related issue and policy studies
• Recommends export policies and actions that enhance the security of Air Force & or Navy weapons systems

• Reviews analyze and provide recommendations on international technology transfer issues and policy to include such specialized topics as manufacturing technology, industrial espionage, country-to-country agreements, and national security

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Active Secret clearance
• A minimum of four (4) years' experience directly working with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and international license agreements
• At least (8) years, there must be at least four (4) years’ experience in program management, technical or business analysis; and included in the four (4) years, there must be two (2) years’ professional experience in technical efforts supporting major weapon systems and components development
• Demonstrated knowledge of DoD policy and documentation related to PPBS, life-cycle management of military acquisition programs (as specified in the DoD 5000 series).
• Demonstrated knowledge of DoD program acquisition for domestic and/or international military aircraft programs
• Must have experience with domestic and international military aircraft programs
• Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
• Good briefing skills and interpersonal and/or diplomatic skills are highly desired.
• Experience working with U.S. EXPORTS
• Experience working with foreign nationals
• Demonstrated motivated self-starter with a high degree of problem-solving, troubleshooting, and multi-tasking skills
• Provides support to the Export Compliance team in processing licenses
• Associate’s Degree in Science, Engineering, International Affairs/Policy or related discipline plus 4 years of additional work experience related to the labor category functional description unless otherwise stated in a task order

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, International Affairs/Policy or related discipline

Food & Friends provides medically-tailored meals, nutrition counseling, and friendship to people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-challenging illnesses. We seek a Food Service Receiver and Shipping Coordinator to assist with inventory management and packaging meals for delivery.  Specific duties include:

• receiving shipments of food and kitchen supplies, checking orders for accuracy, and inspecting food for quality and freshness;
• working with vendors to replace missing or damaged/expired goods;
• unpacking shipments of food and supplies, and storing them appropriately;
• taking inventory of food items and expiration dates to minimize shortages and waste;
• assessing and documenting temperatures of perishable food items and their storage areas, such as refrigerators and freezers;
• cleaning and organizing food storage areas to maintain strict hygiene standards at all times; and
• packing home delivered meals for shipping to clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with an interest in food service to join the team of one of DC’s most prominent nonprofit organizations. 

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma and at least two years of relevant experience.  Other requirements include knowledge of sanitary food handling techniques and ability to pass a food handler’s exam; a keen sense for organization; ability to take notes and maintain written documentation; ability to operate a pallet jack; an appreciation for diversity; and ability to be physically mobile, stand for long periods of time, and regularly  lift up to 50 lbs.  Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.  Offer of employment contingent upon a pre-employment drug test.

The Genetics & IVF Institute (GIVF) was the first outpatient infertility clinic in the US. Today, GIVF provides a full range of reproductive treatment options with multiple locations across the US and substantial international operations.

The Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) division runs one of the leading donor egg programs in the country and was one of the first clinics in the US to offer elective oocyte freezing and an egg bank (Fairfax Egg Bank). GIVF is seeking a full-time Shipping Specialist for our Fairfax EggBank division at our headquarters in Fairfax, VA.

Responsibilities include:

• Coordinating frozen egg shipments to affiliated laboratories
• Verifying for accuracy the requisite shipping paperwork
• Managing and being primarily responsible for both outbound and inbound shipments
• Daily preparing and packing 35 lb. shipping containers for shipment and receiving
• Inventory inbound shipments
• Primarily responsible for QA/QC measures of shipping containers
• Daily maintenance of shipping containers
• Maintaining accurate record keeping and filing
• Manage shipping supply inventory
• Other administrative duties as needed

Bachelor's degree OR high school diploma with other relevant prior shipping or administrative experience are required.
