This anticipated project will assist USAID/Colombia with enhancing local partner organizations’ development impact by improving their operational functions. The support provided to local partners will seek to increase their financial sustainability; internalize a Collaboration, Learning, and Adapting (CLA) approach within each organization; improve messaging and outreach; to make an effective transition to self-reliance in line with USAID/Colombia’s draft 2020 – 2025 Country Development and Cooperation Strategy (CDCS). The Activity will offer goods and services at regional hubs such as Bogotá, Medellín, and potentially one more city in the Pacific region. This will help bring together local partners from different locations with distinct geographic focuses.
We are seeking a qualified Chief of Party (COP) to lead this anticipated activity to be full time and based in Bogotá, Colombia for the duration of the Activity. The COP will be responsible for overall activity management, quality and timeliness of deliverables, external representation, and coordination with the Client. The COP will provide a strategic vision for managing the program and will oversee activity tasks to ensure quality work and compliance with contractual obligations and results. The COP is responsible for the quality and performance of work that is performed by staff and sub-contracted to partners.
This position is contingent on QED being awarded this project.
The Chief of Party (COP) will lead and manage QED’s efforts in the field to achieve the program results. They will provide vision and overall leadership to activity operations; drive the achievement of program results by ensuring the provision of timely, relevant, high quality services; facilitate the intended mutually supportive relationship between QED and the client; serve as the primary point of contact with the client on day-to-day program implementation and management issues; supervise the work of all staff and partners assigned to tasks under the program; ensure timely, accurate and user-friendly reporting on the progress and status of all services provided under the program; and ensure compliance and integrity of operations.
