Overview

Credence Management Solutions, LLC (Credence) is seeking a Unit Deployment Manager for a contract contingent position supporting flying squadron operations.  The focus of work is supporting non-flying duties in ANG squadrons that traditionally utilized aircrew to fill the duties. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and processing of individuals for deployments/re-deployments to/from combat zones, exercises, and other locations based on State, US Government, DOD, AF, ANG, COCOM, and any other applicable guidance.
  • Manage deployment reporting to include Unit Type Code posturing; Air Expeditionary Force Reporting Tool (ART), AF-IT, DRRS; and individual status updates
  • Coordinate and schedule required pre-departure training with the deploying personnel, their supervisor, and DOS. The UDM requires access to the “Automated Civil Engineering System” (ACES), “Defense Readiness Reporting System” (DRRS) and the “Security Forces Management Information System” (SFMIS) for scheduling pre-deployment training and monthly readiness reporting.
  • Coordinate Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 2A training requirements
  • Assess and track deployment uniform and gear needs as specified by organizations/requirements, maintain/inventory uniform and gear once acquired, and distribute equipment and gear for deploying personnel utilizing current host base and AFI guidance.
  • Prepare and submit a list of requirements for purchase to squadron leadership in support of mobility/UDM requirements.
  • Use LOGMOD and Excel to track pre-deployment/post-deployment mobility, logistics, security, ancillary training, medical, and dental requirements.
  • Interface with Government-designated Commercial Travel Office (CTO), Air Mobility Command liaison officers, and unit/group/wing resource advisors to arrange and/or de-conflict deployment/re-deployment travel.
  • Coordinate with wing, base, State, and higher headquarters offices on deployment issues and maintain mobility folders/documentation IAW DoD Foreign Clearance Guide, AFI 10-244, AFI 10-403, AFI 33-332, AFI 37-132, associated AFCENT/MAJCOM/Installation supplements, and locally-developed guidance.
  • Generate the following reports/forms as required due first duty day to Operations Officer or Delegate:
    • Squadron mobility status report
    • Status of members tasked to deploy report
    • AEF Reporting Tool Database Updates
    • AF-IT and DRRS report

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate
  • Candidates must be able to complete a favorably-adjudicated background investigation in accordance with HSPD-12 to access a Government furnished information system or environment

  • Experience working in a DoD unit (Active Duty, Guard/Reserve, Contractor or Civilian).

Golder has an opportunity for a Project Civil Engineer to join the Engineering practice in our Birmingham, AL office (other locations which may be considered include Pensacola, FL; Chattanooga TN; and Atlanta, GA). You will provide technical expertise, project management, and client relations services for a broad range of civil/environmental engineering and environmental projects. The employee will be a part of the Engineering Team and will assist other teams as project and client demands dictate. 

Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Support multi-discipline designs including site development, water/wastewater facilities, constructed wetlands, conveyance projects, roads and highways, etc. This position will also include support to the team to complete planning/study documents, preliminary design, detailed design, permitting documents, and engineering reports.
  • Working with project teams on civil engineering projects
  • Perform a wide variety of routine assignments which are clearly defined and require the application of standard design engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
  • Support conceptual and detailed designs for multi-discipline projects for civil infrastructure solar/water/wastewater/environmental/transportation and to support Environmental Resource Permitting
  • Managing projects or project tasks and providing oversight of and technical direction for junior staff
  • Performing civil engineering task such as:
    • Site development and layout
    • Stormwater and drainage
    • Roadway and pavement alignment
    • Grading
    • Erosion and sedimentation control
    • Site/facilities layout
    • Utilities and conveyance piping
    • Preparing project design packages including technical drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates
  • Complete tasks assigned on time, within budget, and to high level of quality
  • Preparing plans and specifications, engineering reports, engineer’s cost estimates, and quantity take-offs
  • Preparing technical documents and reports
  • Review construction submittals for conformance to contract and design documents
  • Communicating with clients and developing scopes of work
  • Developing plans for and conducting field assignments, such as inspections, investigations, and construction monitoring
  • Preparing and implementing project health and safety plans

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or an equivalent field of study
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience
  • Strong engineering skills and ability to complete civil engineering calculations and analyses
  • Detailed oriented with strong analytical skill and a positive attitude as well as the ability to work both independently and on teams
  • Demonstrate time management and organizational skills
  • Comfortable in remote settings, with a can-do attitude, and a willingness to perform a variety of tasks as needed to complete an assignment and satisfy project demands
  • An active focus on health and safety for themselves and others

Desired:

  • Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field of study
  • Licensure as a Professional Engineer or the ability to obtain within six months of hire strongly preferred
  • Skill and experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D, ICPR, HydroCAD, HY-8, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS and RocScience software

Overview

Credence Management Solutions, LLC (Credence) is seeking a Unit Deployment Manager for a contract contingent position supporting flying squadron operations.  The focus of work is supporting non-flying duties in ANG squadrons that traditionally utilized aircrew to fill the duties. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and processing of individuals for deployments/re-deployments to/from combat zones, exercises, and other locations based on State, US Government, DOD, AF, ANG, COCOM, and any other applicable guidance.
  • Manage deployment reporting to include Unit Type Code posturing; Air Expeditionary Force Reporting Tool (ART), AF-IT, DRRS; and individual status updates
  • Coordinate and schedule required pre-departure training with the deploying personnel, their supervisor, and DOS. The UDM requires access to the “Automated Civil Engineering System” (ACES), “Defense Readiness Reporting System” (DRRS) and the “Security Forces Management Information System” (SFMIS) for scheduling pre-deployment training and monthly readiness reporting.
  • Coordinate Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 2A training requirements
  • Assess and track deployment uniform and gear needs as specified by organizations/requirements, maintain/inventory uniform and gear once acquired, and distribute equipment and gear for deploying personnel utilizing current host base and AFI guidance.
  • Prepare and submit a list of requirements for purchase to squadron leadership in support of mobility/UDM requirements.
  • Use LOGMOD and Excel to track pre-deployment/post-deployment mobility, logistics, security, ancillary training, medical, and dental requirements.
  • Interface with Government-designated Commercial Travel Office (CTO), Air Mobility Command liaison officers, and unit/group/wing resource advisors to arrange and/or de-conflict deployment/re-deployment travel.
  • Coordinate with wing, base, State, and higher headquarters offices on deployment issues and maintain mobility folders/documentation IAW DoD Foreign Clearance Guide, AFI 10-244, AFI 10-403, AFI 33-332, AFI 37-132, associated AFCENT/MAJCOM/Installation supplements, and locally-developed guidance.
  • Generate the following reports/forms as required due first duty day to Operations Officer or Delegate:
    • Squadron mobility status report
    • Status of members tasked to deploy report
    • AEF Reporting Tool Database Updates
    • AF-IT and DRRS report

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate
  • Candidates must be able to complete a favorably-adjudicated background investigation in accordance with HSPD-12 to access a Government furnished information system or environment

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Experience working in a DoD unit (Active Duty, Guard/Reserve, Contractor or Civilian).
  • Unit Deployment Manager experience working in a DoD unit within the past 10 years (Active Duty, Guard/Reserve, Contractor or Civilian).
