Civil Project Manager

CEI Engineering is seeking a Project Manager for our home office in Bentonville, AR. Our Project Managers do more than just manage project scope, schedule, and budget. They are an integral part in ensuring clients receive quality outcomes from conceptual and design phases, to the regulatory review process, bidding, construction, all the way through project completion. Our Project Managers are the "face" of CEI and pride themselves most in developing repeat business based on quality work and excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage land development projects by creating scope and budgets, directing the civil site design, and coordinating work with other staff and design team members
  • Be a key point of contact with clients, contractors, and local government officials
  • Review project design aspects including site layouts, grading plans, storm water management facilities, water quality practices, and utilities
  • Review work products, quality control, and budgeting
  • Mentor, develop, and supervise staff

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, landscape architecture, or equivalent training/experience
  • P.E. or L.A. license preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience in land/site development with experience in utilities, drainage, quality control, site entitlement, and progressive project management
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and Microsoft office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Strong sense of personal initiative and drive to meet client expectations
  • Valid Driver's License, acceptable driving record, and ability to occasionally travel overnight

Civil CAD Designer

CEI Engineering is seeking a CAD Designer to join our office in Bentonville, AR. The CAD Designer will provide AutoCAD design and drafting support for various civil site development projects from conceptual phase through construction documents. Tasks will include developing small and large scale commercial, industrial, public works, and parks/recreation projects. Top candidates will have previous civil design experience in a consulting firm environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop complete sets of site development projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D including site geometry, utility, erosion and sediment control, grading/drainage plans and details in accordance with client and CEI design standards
  • Analyze surveys, field notes, maps, aerial photographs, and other materials to identify potential project constraints and the best approach in developing and completing projects on time and on budget
  • Complete redlines and plan revisions
  • Research and review deeds, ordinances, technical reports, municipal, state and federal codes to ensure compliance
  • Collaborate with project managers and design staff to provide status updates, discuss challenges, and address plan revisions
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • One year CAD certificate from a college or technical school, or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • At least one year of CAD design experience
  • High proficiency with AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D strongly preferred
  • Full range of visual depth perception and the ability to distinguish colors
  • Valid Driver's License, acceptable driving record, and ability to occasionally travel overnight
