Commercial gas mobile engineer progressing to working supervisor.
This role requires the candidate to hold the relevant qualifications to work to OFTEC and Gas safe standards. Natural gas and Oil is required. Other competencies like SMSTS, SSSTS, PASMA & IPAF are an advantage.
The areas to cover are central London and surrounding areas.
The ideal candidate will be expected to work as required to help build our clients Gas department in these areas.
This is a new role as historically our client have used trusted subcontractors for their gas works.
They would now like to hire in house for this position. As this grows, they will consider adding further engineers to join them in these areas.
A large amount of our cleints work is on railway contracts. Training and competencies will be given for the railway working as this is essential. The sites include signal centres, data centres, maintenance depots, train care depots, stations, remote relay rooms trackside.
The work includes commercial gas and oil boilers. This candidate will have experience in PPM for this equipment and be competent. They will also be fluent on Gas safe regulations and OFTEC. Quality and attention to detail are the key things TATE look for. Our client works in safety critical environments, so candidates must have a good appreciation for health and safety.
Our client supplies a company vehicle with fuel card. Minimal personal use, tracked, speed limited.
In addition they supply a smart phone for calls and their electronic job management system. This role would also provide a laptop for administration/supervisor duties.
Salary is dependent on the candidate and their experience, for this role we will offer a fixed salary including overtime. £42,500 per annum.
20 days holiday, plus statutory
Working hours are Monday to Friday in daytime hours. However, the candidate will be required to work the hours required to fulfil their role. Some nights and weekends may be required by this is rare. Daily hours expected for fixed salary are 10-11 hours door to door.
Overtime is not applicable to this offer.
On call rota is not applicable to this role currently, As the gas department grows they will look at the gas call outs.
Specialist tooling can be supplied, but hand tools are the responsibility of the candidate.

Commercial Gas Engineer
My client is seeking an experienced mobile gas engineer to join the team covering sites in Slough and surrounding areas (including parts of West London). You will be carrying out pre planned and reactive maintenance on various of contracts with the majority of your time being focused on retail and health care.
Although most of the work will be outside of the M25, you must be prepared to work in West London on occasions depending on the job needs.
This is a Monday to Friday position working 8am-4:30pm, there is flexible working as well along with plenty of overtime. You will be required to participate in a 1 week in 4 on call rota.
