We are now looking for a Trainee Project Executive to join our fantastic in-house tech team.  Reporting into our Tech Director and working with Project Managers the Trainee Project Executive will initially learn about and gain an understanding of recruitment before moving into a pure tech role focussed around our own Talos system and client service.  Long term our Trainee Project Executive will be responsible for the project specification and delivery of our HR technology platforms, liaising with key stakeholders from external clients, third parties and the internal development team.

Job Description

To successfully and profitably manage existing and new contracts, delivering contractual standards and meeting all QHSE requirements.
Achieve the project and overall roofing budget as set.
The effective and cohesive liaison and promotion of clear communication between estimating and sales teams in the region and nationally.

Main Duties:

• Promote and advance QHSE compliance across all aspects of the contract/project works.

  • Contribute to the development of policy and procedures whilst ensuring all other company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times and that legal requirements and good practice are observed. This is especially important with Health and Safety.

  • Work with the Senior Project Manager to devise and develop a quality management system covering all aspects of the organisations service delivery.
  • Assist in the Implementation of this quality management system and seek ISO 9001 accreditation.
  • Work with the Senior Project Manager to plan and organise the works on site to minimise disruption to the operation of the facilities; ensure all projects are delivered with an outstanding level of service to the customers.
  • Create a collaborative working environment on site amongst all contractors, their operatives and client side operational staff.
  • Review and understand investment appraisal model and the proposed works for each project feasibility; prepare a programme of works in GANTTchart format for internal use and client approval.
  • As required, prepare supporting information to support bid applications; support the Energy Manager in securing budget costs and preparing a cost plan for the feasibility, including where appropriate obtaining formal quotations. Ensure enquiries and / or tender packages are sent to sub‐contractors and suppliers so that orders can be placed in time to meet programme.
  • Once formal project is approval is obtained (usually from the local authority), assist with the compilation of the contract documentation to include a programme of works and priced activity schedule (PAS).
  • Visit site and meet with contractors to understand and agree the scope of works to deliver the required energy savings.
  • In conjunction with the Senior Project manager and Managing Director, appoint all suppliers, consultants and sub‐contractors to deliver the energy efficiency measures included within the bid appendix / agreed feasibility.
  • Discuss the scope of works with the Senior Project Manager and the operator and agree the necessary access to undertake the works; agree the plan of works with operational staff and sign‐off the plan with the manager.
  • Identify variations to contract that will impact on the programme and ensure programme is revised to accommodate them and that all parties are notified accordingly.
  • Provide bi‐weekly written and / or verbal progress reports in respect of each project being managed to the Senior Project Manager, reporting on progress against programme, cost against budget and quality against the specifications and designs.
  • Liaise with Managers for all site works and deliveries; arrange for all on‐site accommodation, welfare facilities and storage to undertake the works in accordance with all relevant health and safety legislation on behalf of the Senior Project Manager when required to do so.
  • On completion of each (trade) installation inspect the works to ensure that the requirements of the specification and design has been achieved and can be signed off.
  • On handover, ensure all contract information is in place - provide appropriate on‐site training to staff, including operating and maintenance manuals that cover the entire installation. Arrange for installers to 'talk''talk' operating staff through the operation of each of the installed systems and obtain a sign‐off from all operating staff, acceptance of training and familiarisation.
  • In conjunction with the Senior Project Manager, produce outturn reports on project costs against budget.
  • Maintain and update on a monthly basis a project costings sheet to enable accurate invoicing of clients and payment of supplier and contractor invoices.
  • Using the costings sheet, report to the Managing Director on the forecast profitability in line with our bid.

The Role
Proofpoint is seeking a self-starting, highly motivated sales professional to join our successful and growing Named Accounts division. This team helps enterprise organisations throughout the UK&I and the world to protect their people and their most sensitive data and their reputations.
Our new team member will have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals and will have extensive experience as a trusted advisor to CISOs, CIOs and other C-level executives. This role will target accounts within the UK (region to be defined).
The Named Account Manager will team up with our world class Sales Organisation and our Channels Sales Organisation to introduce Proofpoint to new customers, as well as to expand our presence with companies who are already part of our existing customer base.
The candidate who will best fit our culture will take great pride in delivering for customers and act with honesty and integrity. They will always operate as part of the team, strive to innovate, take the initiative and be accountable, but most importantly, they will be here to win, from day one.
Your day-to-day
+ Able to establish strong business relationships at the executive level, advanced solution selling capabilities, conducting sales presentations, coordinating multiple resources within an account, while consistently and successfully closing business for Proofpoint.
+ Strive to both penetrate net new accounts as well as to expand our presence with existing customers by introducing them to the rest of our security portfolio.
+ Partner with the Channel Sales Organisation in order to secure new share of the security market.
+ Team up with our Sales/Systems Engineering team to prepare account strategies and plans, and to deliver outstanding product demos and proof of concept programs to prospects and customers.
What you bring to the team
+ We are looking for an enterprise sales professional with experience in a field sales role selling to large enterprise organisations (Construction & Utilities)
+ Preferably we would like to see experience selling Enterprise Security or Information Technology products, but if you’re a “rockstar” from a different industry, we still want to talk to you!
+ Must have a proven and demonstrable track record of exceeding sales goals
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to clearly and effectively articulate Proofpoint’s value.
+ Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and use good judgment in resolving difficult issues.
+ Experience with SalesForce or similar CRM tools strongly preferred

We are now looking for a Trainee Project Executive to join our fantastic in-house tech team.  Reporting into our Tech Director and working with Project Managers the Trainee Project Executive will initially learn about and gain an understanding of recruitment before moving into a pure tech role focussed around our own Talos system and client service.  Long term our Trainee Project Executive will be responsible for the project specification and delivery of our HR technology platforms, liaising with key stakeholders from external clients, third parties and the internal development team.

 

Trainee Project Executive – Responsibilities

 

- Take client briefs to understand their requirements for the project

 

- Understand the required timescales for project completion both internal and external

 

- Manage additional stakeholders to gather all information required

 

- Understand what best practice is and advise on this where necessary

 

- Respond to problems as they arise and identify where the issues are

 

- Report and log all issues through internal communication channels

 

- Identify any potential problems before they occur to mitigate effects

 

- Effectively communicate to high level stakeholders professionally

 

- Communicating with internal teams to gather information

 

- Responding to inbound requests in a timely manner

 

- Building relationships internally and externally

 

Trainee Project Executive – Desired Skills

 

- Able to work to tight timescales and ability to push back if deadlines are not met

 

- Excellent MS Office skills

 

- Some Project Management experience is desired although not essential

 

- Some direct hire recruitment knowledge is desired although not essential

 

- Proactive approach with strong attention to detail and ability to question

 

- Ability to work on your own or as part of a team

 

- Clear communicator across all platforms
