Job Summary:

The Contracts Manager will be required to provide a commercial service to the business, ensuring that CTSL complies with its contractual obligations; customer organisations are accountable for their obligations under their contract(s) and assistance in other departments.

The position will require being responsible for key areas of a major contract within CTSL and for assistance to specific identified departments.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review requests for proposals (RFPs) commercially; identify risks; identify unacceptable terms.  Complete overall risks assessment in support of bid-no-bid determination
  • Review proposals to ensure compliance with company policy and acceptable risk standards
  • To lead negotiations effectively with CTSL’s customers and suppliers to ensure robust and enforceable contracts are in place in a timely manner and with acceptable risk for CTSL
  • To prepare contractual documents such as licences, loan agreements, NDA’s etc.
  • Provide commercial and contractual advice to specific departments allocated and ensure that any issues are resolved
  • To monitor and review internal processes such that they remain robust and updated with Company policy and requirements
  • To approve and sign correspondence within the requirements of the RCC Contract
  • To work closely with and provide advice and support to CTSL’s Project Managers and department managers in the management of projects
  • To ensure that if the customer does not perform its obligations under a contract that CTSL is appropriately compensated for any change in scope of work
  • To manage variations from receipt to closure including approving and signing of responses and price builds; attending Kick Off meetings and bid reviews
  • To manage claims processes in an auditable manner
  • To manage and negotiate the timely prosecution of legitimate claims under the contracts held by CTSL
  • To manage and negotiate and mitigate any deleterious effect of claims made on CTSL by sub-contractors and/or suppliers
  • To consider ways in which new forms of contract may be employed to improve timeliness or efficiency or reduce the risk to CTSL
  • To contribute to the development of strategic objectives of CTSL and to work as directed in implementing them
  • To liaise closely with Business Development and share market intelligence for the benefit of CTSL
  • To foster and develop relations with key personnel within customers and potential customers such that CTSL are involved as early as possible in any opportunity
  • Attend meetings; prepare presentations and such like as required internally and externally
  • All in accordance with the CTSL’s approved processes
  • Comply with Cubic’s values and adherence to all company policy and procedures.  In particular comply with the code of conduct, quality, security and occupational health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

Seeking a pro-active sales lead to sell optical interconnect products for use in fiber optic networking market in the UK
This established start-up is initially looking for an experienced sales professional to work one or two days a week. The objective is to further build their Channel Sales be engaging with Large Distributers and Resellers whilst help lay down the sales team foundations for future growth.
The business already has some small partners on board but requires a Channel professional to take them to the next stage. We anticipate dealing directly with these targets to be some 70% of the activity with some 30% being being Sales Admin and infrastructure.
The quality of the products is second to none and you will be able to demonstrate being on a par with leading vendors like Cisco without the same high unit costs.
Working from a home base in the UK and able to travel freely (once restrictions are lifted) we anticipate the initial commitment to be one or two days a week with this steadily increasing based on sales growth. This will be purely down to the success of the person securing the role rather than other limitations imposed by the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving sales growth in the UK by securing agreements with new distribution channel partners
- Lay down the foundations for good sales discipline in areas of sales administration from lead process and agreements to order management.
- Manage existing Distributor/Reseller sales channel including reviewing/drafting contracts, agreeing and achieving sales targets, volumes plus possible KPI's & SLA's
- Work closely with others to ensure effective communication across the business to ensure high company performance and smooth growth.
Requirements:
- Self starter, able to understand what is required and crack on without constant supervision
- Proven track record of selling Telecom or IT products/solutions for any similar sector i.e. Optical Networking, Test & Measurement, Semi-Con or RF equipment solutions

Your responsibilities

  • Support project procurement and help develop project specific purchasing conditions
  • Establish contract summaries and briefings for use by the project execution team
