MISSION

The mission for this position is to deliver friendly, accessible customer service while coordinating the shipping of finished goods both domestic and internationally, as well as to coordinate the pickup of finished goods. The Customer Service Logistics Specialist will be receiving phone calls, collaborating with the logistics team and learning new skill sets and industry knowledge.

If you are passionate about providing excellent customer service, both internal and external, keeping motivated with your own priorities and interacting both on the phone and in-person with a tight knit team, this is the role for you!

This role is vital to keeping the logistics team on track with all deliverables by providing key information to various parties to keep shipments in process and ensure they end up where and when they are scheduled. Effective communication and a high attention to detail with order numbers and other necessary information is important. 

Family owned since 1985, Stahlbush Island Farms is an environmentally friendly farm and food processor in Corvallis, Oregon. We grow high quality foods using innovative farming practices. We even make our own electricity! Our biogas plant, the first of its kind in the U.S., converts all of our agricultural waste into electricity, generating twice the amount that we need to run the farm. Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

OUTCOMES - Customer Service Logistics Specialist

  • Handle phone calls on a multi-line system
  • Provide rapid and high level customer service to customers, sales teams, carriers and warehouse docks
  • Coordinate product delivery schedules with customers
  • Work closely with providers to assure efficient and effective execution of defined processes and goods transportation
  • Have a high degree of efficiency and accuracy with Excel, 10-key and data entry
  • Organize and maintain hard copy and electronic documentation supporting order fulfillment, distribution means, pricing, and contractual obligations
  • Verify inventory locations in multiple warehouses and availability for shipment against requirements specified in purchase orders
  • Maintain daily shipping calendars
  • Secure freight for industrial, retail and procurement divisions, using a competitive bidding system within the broker network
  • Code and prepare proper paperwork for billing and authorization on a variety of invoices
  • Communicate fulfillment status and issues within the organization to logistics management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS - Customer Service Logistics Specialist

  • Customer service experience a must!
  • Moderate to expert experience in Excel, data entry and 10-key
  • Detail orientated in high paced environment
  • Ability to make decisions and problem solve
  • Leadership skills, integrity, and commitment to professional responsibility
  • Self-starter skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and set priorities
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication
  • Experience in logistics or supply chain management preferred
