About the Department
The Registry is part of the Student and Academic Experience Directorate. It is responsible for the central elements of student administration, including enrolment, progression and awards, and for the student and curriculum records for the School. It has two specialist teams, Student Administration & Records (SAR), and Curriculum, Assessment & Quality Assurance (CAQA).
 
About the role
The post holder will line manage the Assessment & Curriculum Officers and Student Records Officer within the Curriculum, Assessment and Quality Assurance team of the Registry, developing a schedule of tasks to ensure that work is allocated appropriately and an excellent service is provided to students and staff across the School.
 
They will co-ordinate effective support to School-wide activities including Graduation, Examinations and Enrolment, occasional process reviews and projects, and external audits.
 
About you
 
You will need to demonstrate:
 
• Experience of HE administration, including the maintenance of curriculum records.
• Proven experience of providing a high standard of customer care
• Up-to-date knowledge of the use of IT in HE administration across the sector and an ability to apply that knowledge in the context of the School
• Ability to prioritise competing deadlines and workloads, while maintaining a high level of accuracy, and to motivate and support a team to do likewise
• Ability to work as part of diverse teams and groups, developing collaborative working practices to enable a team to deliver operational and strategic objectives
• That you are educated to degree level or equivalent experience

Deputy Residential Manager

An exciting position has become available for a full time Deputy Residential Manager to join a friendly team based in West Harrow. Role Requirements

•The right candidate must be suitably qualified Social Worker with an appropriate Degree in Social Work
•You will be expected to have knowledge of and work in accordance with the statutory and legislative OFSTED frameworks for Residential Family Centres.
•Have at least five years of post-qualifying experience and minimum of two years of management experience in a social care setting.
•Experience in a residential social care setting. A residential family centre will be preferable.
•You must be willing to work towards management/leadership in social care qualification and if you do not already have this, the organisation will subsidise this.
•The ideal candidate will be positive, enthusiastic, and motivated with excellent leadership skills, who has a desire to make a difference to help vulnerable families.
•You will eventually be required to write and/or oversee Court directed reports.

Main Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)

•Lead by example and develop effective teams within the services you are assigned to.
•Develop a positive working environment which nurtures and rewards good practice through a programme of training and development.
•Provide regular supervision and annual appraisal to staff members assigned to you by the Registered Manager following company procedures and standards.
•To ensure good quality working relationships are built and maintained between staff and the service users they are supporting.

About the Role
The role will include a mixture of management/administration duties as well as day to day support of tenants including attending appointments and reviews, accessing community opportunities, support with daily living tasks, and activities.
In this role you will work closely with the Service Manager to inspire and motivate the team to provide a high quality service as well assist in implementing current legislation and CQC requirements. Acting as a role model in the delivery of active support, you will promote and maintain person-centred approaches. The role will include organising rotas, staff probation reviews, supervisions, updating support plans, risk assessments, fire and health and safety checks, recording and monitor daily logs, leading shifts and rota cover, recruitment and maintenance reporting.

We have exciting opportunity for an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our established Community Mental Health Team for Older People as deputy manager.

The post of Deputy Manager will be based in Rosanne House and supports the Quadrant Manager in the day to day operational management of the four functions of the team. The team's four functions include community, crisis and therapy functions, along with an Early Memory Diagnosis and Support Service. The people who use our service are primarily from East Hertfordshire and have a functional mental health condition or a dementia (we also have social care responsibility for older people that have a functional mental health condition). Day to day operational management includes operational and line management of staff and service, as well as representing the team and HPFT within the localities.

As a team we are supportive, and look to develop people. By taking this post you will have a PDP and regular supervision that aims to support your development. You will support staff, as well as be supported with the questions of 'what next' and 'how can you get there.'

Job title: Deputy Manager -Curriculum, Assessment and Quality Assurance
Department: Registry
Salary: £37,360 - £43,886 (Including London Allowance)
Location: Bloomsbury, London
Contract type: Fixed term Contract for 12 months
Hours: 35 hours per week

If so, you could be our next Deputy Manager looking after Curriculum, Assessment and Quality Assurance here at SOAS University of London!
 
About the Department
The Registry is part of the Student and Academic Experience Directorate. It is responsible for the central elements of student administration, including enrolment, progression and awards, and for the student and curriculum records for the School. It has two specialist teams, Student Administration & Records (SAR), and Curriculum, Assessment & Quality Assurance (CAQA).
 
About the role
The post holder will line manage the Assessment & Curriculum Officers and Student Records Officer within the Curriculum, Assessment and Quality Assurance team of the Registry, developing a schedule of tasks to ensure that work is allocated appropriately and an excellent service is provided to students and staff across the School.
 
They will co-ordinate effective support to School-wide activities including Graduation, Examinations and Enrolment, occasional process reviews and projects, and external audits.
 
About you
 
You will need to demonstrate:
 
• Experience of HE administration, including the maintenance of curriculum records.
• Proven experience of providing a high standard of customer care
• Up-to-date knowledge of the use of IT in HE administration across the sector and an ability to apply that knowledge in the context of the School
• Ability to prioritise competing deadlines and workloads, while maintaining a high level of accuracy, and to motivate and support a team to do likewise
• Ability to work as part of diverse teams and groups, developing collaborative working practices to enable a team to deliver operational and strategic objectives
• That you are educated to degree level or equivalent experience
