We’re looking for an experienced Product Designer to join our UX & Design team in Edinburgh or Glasgow, Scotland, working with our loyalty and content teams. What you’ll do

You’ll be part of the design team working across all our product offerings including the number one Sportsbook in America and our award-winning daily fantasy sports product. Joining a growing UX & Design team, working on innovative new features and building upon the existing experiences that our customers love, maintaining our best-in-class status.

You’ll use your UX, UI, prototyping, and product skills to craft exciting, valuable experiences for our customers on iOS, Android, and web apps.

You’ll work on projects with a lot of self-direction, or lead smaller projects. You’ll take on these projects with guidance and help, and be responsible for the design outcomes. The UX & Design team collaborate with product managers, engineers, commercial stakeholders and more to deliver great experiences. You’ll be an integrated part of the end to end product development process, influencing for the customer at all stages.

You’ll identify constraints with the projects, and work to overcome them. You’ll seek out feedback from the team, your manager, and stakeholders to inform design direction. You’ll contribute to project and team meetings, and you’ll showcase and discuss your work often.

You’ll attend recruiting events and help the team assess new candidates in our hiring processes. You’ll receive coaching in technical and behavioural skills, and develop your own coaching skills. You’ll run basic research sessions if needed, with support from the UX Research team.

What you bring

You’re strong and capable in standard product design processes. You have a depth of technical understanding of design, and the maturity to identify appropriate methods for each project.

You’ve contributed to some shipped projects and can demonstrate the relevant design skills and collaboration within those projects.

You have a good understanding of visual hierarchy, layout and information architecture. You’re comfortable using a design system, and building on previous work in a product. You consider the wider user experience in your work and know how to gain a strong understanding of the vision and key measure of success for your projects. You have some working knowledge of user research process and methodologies.

You clearly communicate direction rationale to peers and wider teams.

Summary of the Role

To plan, design and sell, with the aid of computer aided designs (CAD), the full range of Howden Joinery products, keeping in mind safety and practicality, with the objective of achieving and exceeding depot and Company sales and growth targets.

The Role

• Plan, design and sell inspirational kitchens using the Company’s range of products with the highest level of customer service.
• Develop long term collaborative business relationships with customers from the building trade and their clients.
• Utilise Howdens unique 'My Kitchen' service which offers the ability to create and view high quality images.
• You will be required to visit sites to measure and evaluate the customer’s needs.
• Previous design (CAD) and/or sales experience is preferred but not essential.
• Correctly process estimates, pricing, delivery dates and stock requirements for your customer.
• You will be required to use your own vehicle during business hours, and travel expenses will be reimbursed accordingly.

What you'll do:

    VoucherCart is a global voucher sales engine used by Restaurants, Hotels, Beauty Salon & Spa, Leisure & Recreation and retail businesses to sell their products and services as Gift Cards, vouchers, and Coupons online. As a plug-and-play SaaS software tool, businesses can subscribe to create, promote and sell quickly and easily using pre-scheduled automated promotion via their Websites, email and Social Media.


    We are seeking to build a multi-disciplinary team to represent our business in Europe and other global territories from our base in Edinburgh.


    Starting as a paid intern, you will:


    • Gain a deep understanding of what VoucherCart is and how best to describe it in semantic (keyword) terms to prospective customers via digital channels in the language in which you will be working, for Web, Print, Paid Advertising and Marketing Communications.
    • Understand the Brand identity working from a portfolio of graphics and media assets.
    • Provide graphic design and video production works produced in Adobe Creative Suite for use across a range of marketing initiatives from Facebook Ads, to Explainer PDF's and website graphics, voucher design works and more...
    • Liaise with Social Media Team to publish Facebook videos and graphics content for Facebook Post and Video Marketing.
    • Liaise with team to establish works required and adhere to publishing deadlines.


    You will have a good understanding and knowledge of Adobe Premier Pro, AI, After Effects, Photoshop, InVision and other Graphics and Video production tools required to produce content to address market messaging for VoucherCart across the following sectors:


    • Hotels
    • Restaurants

    Person Specification


    You will have the following essential skills:


    • Be a Post-Graduate from a Marketing/Technical/Multimedia/Computing Discipline/Field of Study
    • Posses strong communication skills, work ethic, and attention to detail.
    • Be able to demonstrate strong graphic and video design skills in Adobe Creative Suite. (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro)
    • Posses good basic Front-End Design and UX skills (HTML/CSS/Javascipt).
    • Preference will be given to candidate with the following skills/knowledge:

    We’re looking for an experienced Product Designer to join our UX & Design team in Edinburgh or Glasgow, Scotland, working with our loyalty and content teams.     What you’ll do

    You’ll be part of the design team working across all our product offerings including the number one Sportsbook in America and our award-winning daily fantasy sports product. Joining a growing UX & Design team, working on innovative new features and building upon the existing experiences that our customers love, maintaining our best-in-class status.

    You’ll use your UX, UI, prototyping, and product skills to craft exciting, valuable experiences for our customers on iOS, Android, and web apps.

    You’ll work on projects with a lot of self-direction, or lead smaller projects. You’ll take on these projects with guidance and help, and be responsible for the design outcomes. The UX & Design team collaborate with product managers, engineers, commercial stakeholders and more to deliver great experiences. You’ll be an integrated part of the end to end product development process, influencing for the customer at all stages.

    You’ll identify constraints with the projects, and work to overcome them. You’ll seek out feedback from the team, your manager, and stakeholders to inform design direction. You’ll contribute to project and team meetings, and you’ll showcase and discuss your work often.

    You’ll attend recruiting events and help the team assess new candidates in our hiring processes. You’ll receive coaching in technical and behavioural skills, and develop your own coaching skills. You’ll run basic research sessions if needed, with support from the UX Research team.

    What you bring

    You’re strong and capable in standard product design processes. You have a depth of technical understanding of design, and the maturity to identify appropriate methods for each project.

    You’ve contributed to some shipped projects and can demonstrate the relevant design skills and collaboration within those projects.

    You have a good understanding of visual hierarchy, layout and information architecture. You’re comfortable using a design system, and building on previous work in a product. You consider the wider user experience in your work and know how to gain a strong understanding of the vision and key measure of success for your projects. You have some working knowledge of user research process and methodologies.

    You clearly communicate direction rationale to peers and wider teams.
