* Work with all departments to ensure our customers receive a top quality product
* Conduct training on quality concepts, tools and process's
* As a member of the CI team, assist with other departmental duties as and when required. Work in compliance with the company Safety, Quality & Environmental policies at all times.

Our Solutions Architect Manager is currently recruiting for a first class IT Quality Assurance Engineer to join and strengthen their existing team. This role will be based from our offices in Oldbury.

Key Responsibilities will include;

  • Understanding software change diagrams written in UML, Archimate and BPMN

  • Estimate, prioritise and plan testing activities within project time scales

  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test suites and regression packs

  • Execute tests according to the test suite, including regression tests where appropriate

  • Collaborate with Solutions Architects and developers to validate designs and implementation

  • Work with UI/UX to ensure implemented screens match the specification

  • Identify, record, document and track bugs working with developers to monitor progress

  • Troubleshoot issues to gather information and find the source

  • Communicate testing status to the product team

Qualifications

About You

To be considered for this role you must have experience as a QA Engineer or similar role, knowledge of test management software (e.g. qTest, Zephyr) and QA methodologies, tools and processes is essential.

Your naturally strong communication and organisational skills will be fully utilised in this role as will your ability to effectively prioritise, multitask and problem solve. We would also expect you to have

  • Working well in a team and adhering to principles and values

    Apache Airflow Specialist Role Summary:

The aim is to reduce manual intervention, and increase processing speed, so that we can repeatedly process more data, at higher frequencies in the future. You will champion good code quality and architectural practices.

    About You:

    + Significant experience of large scale implementation using Apache Airflow
    + Be an expert in the concept of DAGs (Directed Acyclic Graph) and Operators to schedule jobs
    + Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable “big data” data stores.
    + Experience of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets.
