We are recruiting a Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical qualified) to work across 6 of our client’s buildings which are in Egham, Hersham, Weybridge, West Byfleet, Addlestone, and Brooklands.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the day to day delivery of planned and reactive maintenance tasks to our client’s buildings and in line with our agreed service level agreement. This will include the supervision of specialist sub-contractors and ensuring all CBRE and sub-contractor paperwork is up to date. Also ensuring that all Health and Safety procedures are followed as per the CBRE QHSE guidelines.
Main duties & responsibilities
• Ensure QHSE documentation is maintained and readily available using CBRE systems e.g. Logbooks, Hazard Reports, training & competency records, eLogbooks, PPE, toolbox talks.
• Compliance with and record keeping for CBRE ISO 9001/14001 etc. and all Quality Management Systems.
• Actively identify/implement innovation across the contract to enhance performance and continue to meet client expectations.
• Organise and assist in reactive repairs and PPM’s to the sites M&E systems (BMS, Fire, Air Conditioning, Generators and LV Electrical Distribution and Switch Gear etc).
• Carry out reactive repairs as instructed by Contract Support or Contract Management in line with the Service Level Agreements.
• Prioritising and delegating reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks to ensure optimum levels of service delivery are being achieved.
• Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance is carried out in line with task schedules.
• To observe the company policy on Health & Safety at Work.
• To undertake any other duties that may reasonably be requested.
• To install and repair plant as required and directed and respond in a prompt and effective manner to all reactive maintenance issues and requests associated with site.
• To respond to callouts and cover emergencies as required.
• Attend and participate in any relevant training courses.
• Ensuring a customer focus within all areas of operational activities, and that effective relationships are maintained with key client contacts.
• Promoting and maintaining the core Values of CBRE Managed Services.
• Delivery of service in accordance with CBRE, Procedures and Policies.
Person Specification:
• Essential - Experience in operating with buildings and assets services. Must have experience of maintenance operations.
• Essential – Served a recognized apprenticeship or equivalent and qualified to minimum C&G level 3 technical certificate or equivalent in electrical engineering.
• A good communicator who can translate complex technical matters into understandable language to suit a variety of audiences.
• A proven track record in driving front line technical operations with the ability to implement and manage complex technical maintenance and repair operations.
• A thorough understanding of health and safety in the FM services environment and related permit to work processes.
• Organised (and ability to plan workload.). Works in a structured way. Thinks ahead to prioritise workload in a logical manor.
• Has attention to detail. Thorough in carrying out a task, with a high degree of accuracy.
• Puts customer and team needs first; always considers impact of actions on customer and team.
• Demonstrates mechanical and electrical experience within similar environments.
• Be able to work alone and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to prioritize workloads.
• Ability to work under pressure and direct sub-contractors.
• Conversant with Microsoft Office suite; Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

• Undertake maintenance and reactive activity to a wide range of Electrical Building Services equipment including but not limited to LV systems, general lighting, building controls, small power and distribution, BMS systems and other equipment found in modern commercial/industrial premises
• Undertake within your levels of competency, inspection and reactive activity wide range of Mechanical Building Services equipment including but not limited to heating boilers, pumps, compressed air systems, sanitary ware, fan coil and air handling units and BMS systems and other equipment found in modern commercial/industrial premises.
• Be an essential part of the local team who will ensure the safe operation and repair of all M&E building services and fabric equipment on the site.
• To work within a shift system to provide a core presence at client sites within an extended weekday period.
• To be prepared to assume authorised person (AP) and on call responsibilities.
• To undertake weekend/out of hours working to complete intrusive maintenance activites that cannot be undertaken in client operating hours.
• To implement systems that will ensure plant is maintained and operated to its optimum efficiency.
• Take part in Appraisals/Performance Reviews including the recognition of training and development needs.
• Monitor site performance of sub-contractors and report poor performance.
• Use of IT systems (Handheld device) as part of the CAFM system.
Essential
• C&G 2382-12 (18th Edition BS7671:2018) ideally with C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing
• IOSH Passport or CSCS Card
• HND or NVQ or equivalent in a relevant subject
• 5 years experience in electrical building services and plant engineering with a good working knowldege of mechanical systems.
• Excellent communications both written and verbal.
• Numerate and computer literate.

• Previous appointment as AP/CP for one or more of the following disciplines, LV, Confined Spaces, Working at Heights
