Job Summary: The purpose of this role is to perform metrology activities to support Instrument and Enterprise Service revenue growth and to support necessary Quality activities required to maintain accreditations & certifications in the UK
Responsibilities:
Actively perform UK Field Service Metrology activities (50-80%) under the supervision of the head of the IES metrology laboratory in the UK
Management of Accredited and Non-Accredited Calibrated reference equipment
Receipt and dispatch of reference equipment
Pre/Post checks
Ensure on-time Calibration of reference equipment
Maintain relationships with calibration providers
Calibration of customer equipment in field and in-house lab as required
Metrology document review including working towards becoming a UKAS approved certificate signatory
Support IES Quality in the UK (20-50%) in collaboration with the Regional Quality manager
Support the development and maintenance of the ISO17025 and ISO9001 QMS
Maintain and update as required ISO17025 and ISO9001 Quality System documentation.
Support Internal & External audits of ISO17025 and ISO9001 activities
Support the treatment audit findings and non-conformances
Support answering customer quality enquiries
Qualifications and experience:
Higher education qualification(s) or equivalent technical job experience (5 years plus) with qualifications and/or experience including instrumentation.
Previous experience in a role supporting quality; exposure to ISO9001, ISO17025 or ISO13485 quality management systems
Process/software/instrument Validation expertise is an asset
Previous experience in the deployment and support of projects / process improvement
Occasional travel in UK, international traveling may be required
Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks with different priorities
Excellent inter-personal, self-motivational skills

Project Engineer - Permanent - Major Civil Engineering Contractor
Project Engijneer required to join a leading civil engineering contractor working on an exciting civils project in Buckinghamshire.
Project scope invovles working on deep shafts, excavation works, temporary works and concrete bases.
This is a 12 month project.
You will be based on site and will be required to drive to get to site. A van can be provided if required.
As a project engineer you will be reporting directly to the project manager and have a small team of engineers reporting to you. This role will suit a sub / site agent with aspirations of moving into a PM level.
All works on site will be self delivered. You will manage the engineering works on site and focus on delivery of the programme all the way to handover at the end of the project.
It is essential that you have previous self delivery experience and managed a team of engineers delivering the works on site. Ideally having worked for a tier 1, main contractor within the rail and civil engineering sectors!
Early stage civils experience on similar major projects is essential.
