Seeking an exceptional engineering leader with strong experience in the waterworks industry to support the strategic objectives of a highly cross-functional team.  The Engineering Manager plays a key role in the overall success of our organization by managing, coordinating, and monitoring all engineering functions/personnel in an environment involving multiple locations and wide-ranging resources. You will be responsible for overseeing various engineering teams, projects, processes, budgets, and timelines and making any necessary adjustments to ensure success. You will lead all facets of engineering and product development activities. You will provide technical and programmatic leadership and be a key player in corporate decision making.

• Serve as the engineering leader and technical expert.

Who we want… (Requirements)

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from four-year college or university; and a minimum of ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Professional registration required.

Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail applications.  Also, utilize programs for calculating loads and performing cost analysis.  Knowledge of ACAD is preferred.

What we expect… (Essential Functions)

• Researches, analyzes and calculates data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
• Participates in estimating process for customer design proposal.
• Analyzes subcontractor proposals to confirm the criteria are being satisfied.
• Participates in negotiations of contracts with subcontractors and vendors for various trades, ensuring that all phases of the work are encompassed and that a clear definition of work responsibility is defined.
• Reviews construction documents from subcontractors to confirm they comply with scope.
• Participates in awarding subcontracts.
• Coordinates design and engineering efforts; monitors and reports on financial status of the project(s) and is responsible for subcontract and contract administration.
• Participates in job progress schedule to ensure that actual construction parallels with the schedule per the MEP of the project.
• Reviews construction installed by subcontractors to confirm complies with scope.
• Purchases and monitors the delivery of all needed materials for the project(s) ensuring optimum prices, quality and conformance to specifications, for MEP Divisions.
• Participates in reviews and approves subcontractor and vendor payment requests. Issues changes in the work to receive prices from subcontractors in a timely fashion.
• Works with design and engineering managers to ensure project(s) is/are designed, procured and constructed within the boundaries of operating guidelines, while conforming to technical requirements and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Visits job site(s) as needed to review progress and quality of work, with possible required relocation to the jobsite during the MEP portion of construction.
• Works with Project Manager to verify the monthly Red File report for the MEP.
• Reviews shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with scope of work.
• Responsible for the communication, implementation and enforcement of Gray’s safety program on site.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has supervisory responsibilities of drafting by on-site and contract ACAD drafters, and of administrative assistants for work generated by this individual.

Surgical Care Affiliates (SCA) has transformed itself into a leader in ambulatory surgical centers, surgical hospitals, and hospital-system partnerships. With Service Excellence as one of our core values, we are transforming the current Information Technology department to better position SCA as the industry leader in surgical care. Our IT team is focused on providing our partnerships and management teams with timely, quality technology support that is reliable and helpful.

We are currently seeking a talented and energetic manager to join our team as the IT Manager over Identity & Access Management (IAM). This position is responsible for timely management and escalation of the provisioning process, constantly seeking ways to increase efficiency in the provisioning process and making improvements in the IAM infrastructure for the organization. This role will ensure SCA teammates are serviced timely, accurately, and with highest level of customer service for all access issues. The position will also assist the overall IT Risk & Compliance team in maintaining our user population and reviewing reports related to account activity.

The IT Manager - IAM will be expected to facilitate discussion with end users, identify recurring issues and design solutions for permanent remediation. It will be the responsibility of this position to ensure that our IAM infrastructure is efficiently designed for optimum performance, control, and efficiency.

Significant interaction with SCA users will be a requirement of this position and, therefore, this individual must be comfortable working with the users at various levels within the organization and be able to prioritize projects to accomplish the above goals.

This position is primarily responsible for:

• Manage the IAM staff by recruiting, training, coaching, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance
• Manage all systems for which the IAM team is responsible
• Manage Active Directory (AD) security as it relates to user access and provisioning
• Oversee / collaborate efficiently with a managed service provider to execute access requests
• Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to adhere to organizational policy
• Act as the primary resolver of all escalated IAM issues
• Maintain the dynamic workflow hierarchy and additional locations
• Identify opportunities for improvement in the IAM processes and systems
• Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions
• Incorporate new technologies into the centralized IAM process
• Collaborate on projects as needed

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience within the IAM function
• Significant experience managing AD security as it relates to user access and provisioning
• Bachelors’ degree required; Master’s degree preferred
• Recognized security industry certifications preferred (CISSP, CAP, etc.)

Knowledge, Abilities & Skills:

• Proven ability to manage key stakeholders while managing competing priorities
• Strong leadership skills including conflict/issue resolution
• Ability to work effectively with project resources across multiple departments

Accountabilities / Responsibilities

• Management of the entire integration life cycle for IT infrastructure integration activities
• Balancing the constraints of resource availability, project timelines, and customer expectations
• Assisting business in documenting business requirements for IT project work
• Identifying and documenting IT requirements by knowing the right questions to ask for infrastructure integration activities
• Discussing IT requirements with IT teams
