This role will report to the Regional Service Manager and is covering the South of England.

Salary £28,000 - £32,000 plus overtime and benefits.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Undertakes servicing of equipment at our customer sites.
• Completes to a high-quality standard all service, repair, warranty, and inspection jobs allocated daily.
• Builds strong rapport and relationships with customers through professional behaviour and customer focused mindset.
• Responds to routine enquiries from customers about the technical aspects of the organization’s products and services.
• Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve standard technical problems that arise, ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.
• Carry out extensive electrical and mechanical fault find work.

As our Field Service Engineer you should have a customer focused approach as you will be the face of the brand and be a strong problem solver. You should possess strong communication skills, verbally and written, quality orientated, flexible, and adaptable, as well as enthusiastic and self-driven.
Ideally you have: 

• Mechanical/Electrical engineering qualifications
• Experience of heavy plant equipment
• Experience working with hydraulic systems.
• PLC knowledge or experience 
• Fault finding and diagnostics experience.

The role of the Field Service Engineer is to assist in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of large, sophisticated robotic drug storage systems, conveyors, pc’s, networks, both hardware and software. Assisting operating staff with day to day queries and fault diagnosis either remotely or on site.

The service engineer is responsible for the daily repair, servicing, and maintenance of our customers equipment. Predominately within north east England.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with the projects and installation teams to undertake commissioning of new customer sites.
• Excellent customer facing and communication skills. Establish and maintain good customer business relationships.
• Good communication at all levels including peers and management.
• Good self-motivator able to work own initiative as an individual or part of a team.
• Performing administrative duties including site reports, expenses, online training
• Able to trouble shoot complex issues, to determine root cause and implement resolution.
• On site or remote fault diagnosis.
• Completion of onsite planned preventative maintenance to a schedule.
• Achieve individual and team target KPI’s
• Ordering and maintaining a stock holding of parts.
• Adhering to health and safety requirements.

The Field Service Engineer will work away from home with occasional overnight stays, in UK and Ireland. You will occasionally attend training at our European Technical Training Centre in Germany.

Occasional on call weekend and rota working will be required.

The successful candidate will hold an Electrical engineering qualification or equivalent. You will have previously worked in a similar role and will excellent customer facing and customer skills. You will be able to arrange your own diary and priorities your appointments. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to set and manager customer expectations. You will handle your own stock and spares and have experience of updating online record systems. You need to be decisive and able to work without supervision. You will have experience in electro-mechanical systems fault diagnosis, repair, servicing and installation. You will be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings.

You will ideally live in or around the Newcastle area.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Design Engineer with the determination to design innovative and market leading solutions to meet objectives and design to cost and for manufacture.
You must be:
- Experienced in the rapid design and development of digital and analogue electronics and embedded software to support precision electro-mechanical assemblies and equipment including the design of PCBAs and the integration of these.
- Experienced in the uses of electronics computer aided design tools
- Experienced of design of EMC standards
- Broad experience in the selection of appropriate electronic devices for specific applications
- Experienced of value engineering existing designs
- Ability to project manage specific work packages
- Experienced in the use of documentation control and PDM / PLM solutions
Desirable experience includes:
- Experience of servo control solutions
- Experience of technology innovation and developing advanced solutions to proof of concept stage.

• Calibration of RF Measuring equipment.
• Conversant with VSWR, VRC, Attenuation, Generation and measurement of RF up to 110 GHz.
• Maintain the Calibration Database and filing system.
• Maintenance of Calibration Certification and files.
• Assist with on the job training when required.
• Assist in the development and Improvement of Inspection and Calibration procedures.
• Participate in Trescal Interlaboratory measurement audits.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and timely turn-around on all equipment and service.
• Perform other laboratory support functions as required in an efficient and orderly manner.
• Participate in external/internal audits as required by the Trescal Quality Manager within the Trescal facility.
