Purpose of role
Coordinate globally within FOCS the relationship between Level 1 ISPL alerts and FOCS as transferred in response to the 1LoD/2LoD Target Operating Model.
Monitor trading activity of GM, ALMT and BP2S staff to ensure compliance with appropriate rules, regulations and company policies and procedures, while being compliant at all times with internal rules and regulations applicable to surveillance activities.

Key Responsibilities of role
• Participate in the strategic planning and development of FOCS through participation within the FOCS ExCo as well as leading and delivering complex projects;
• Coordinate globally within FOCS the relationship with ISPL;
• Manage a small group of FOCS trade surveillance officers tasked with reviewing, investigating and escalating further level 1 alerts received from ISPL;
• Participate in ensuring that the transfer of 2LoD trade surveillance models to FOCS is undertaken as smoothly as possible, whilst maintaining expected standards;
• Work with experienced FOCS officers on the re-engineering of 2LoD trade surveillance models to support the efficiency and effectiveness of the new surveillance framework;
• Escalate potential breaches to the Heads of GBLs, the Regional Heads of Trading or Sales and / or 2LOD (Compliance, Risk ORC), in line with the FOCS Escalation Procedure;
• Ensure that the monitoring and surveillance results are documented and communicated appropriately to the Heads of GBLs and other relevant stakeholders, notably through Management Information (MI) reports or GBL CORe meetings;
• Collaborate and maintain a good relationship with relevant 1LOD/2LOD stakeholders:
- Within 1LOD, collaborate and maintain a good relationship with Desk Heads and Senior Management, and refine the escalation procedures / reports, where possible, in order to help them manage their business more effectively;
- Within 2LOD (Compliance, Risk ORC, etc.), provide expertise to them with their investigations and analyses when required, and / or liaise with them to obtain additional information and further investigate potential conduct breaches;
• Provide input into and assist with the drafting / regular updates of the policies and procedures;
• Respect of Code of Conduct and Rules & Regulations;
• Act, behave appropriately and comply with the general ethical standards expected by BNP Paribas Group and relevant regulatory authorities;
• Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and Group's internal compliance requirements as well as Code of Conduct including, especially, Financial Security, Fight against Corruption, Know Your Customer due diligence, Client Interest Protection, Market Integrity, Professional Ethics and Respect for colleagues; and
