Looking for an individual to carry out gas servicing work in social housing, this would include servicing gas fires and gas cookers. You will be working in the North tyneside area and you do not have to be a qualified plumber. You will be provided with a van and will need to have all of the qualifications below.

About our team
You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about delivering a customer focussed repairs and maintenance service to deliver on our Customer Promise. You’ll work for Glynn our Gas Supervisor.
Where you’ll work
You’ll initially work across the County Durham, Washington and Sunderland area. The great news is that you will have the flexibility of working either from home or in one of our local offices (when we return to office working) and we’ll give you the technology and kit to make that easy.
Working hours
In order to meet the needs of our customers, we need to be flexible. This means you’ll work 5 days per week depending on the need of the business. You may also be asked to take part in our out of hours service. As we’re asking you to be flexible for us, we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!
About you
As a Gas Plumber you’ll have an NVQ level 3 or City & Guilds in Gas/ Plumbing or equivalent qualification. You’ll also have an ACS accredited gas certification and CENWAT qualifications with UHW10 unvented hot water and knowledge of relevant water regulations.
You’ll have experience of all aspects of gas, heating and plumbing work in a Maintenance environment. With a flexible approach and ability to take ownership, you can use your own judgement and initiative. You will also have experience in other building trade areas (multi skilled) with relevant training and experience.
Here at Home Group we have invested heavily in our future and use current and up to date equipment. You’ll be issued with the latest kit, which could include a Surface Pro and mobile. So, it's important to us that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)
When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Basic Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one.
