Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities will include providing chaperoning duties to dermatology consultation clinics, Assisting patients and the opportunity to assist in minor dermatology procedures. Full training and support will be provided if needed.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in an outpatient / GP setting/healthcare setting. An NVQ Direct Care Level 2 qualification or equivalent experience and previous experience of assisting minor procedures are desirable.

- Develop own knowledge and skills and that of others.

- Promote best practices as a Carer / Care Assistant in health and safety and security.

- Assist in maintaining and developing services.

- Contribute to quality improvement.

- Promote peoples equality, diversity and rights.

- Work autonomously with minimum supervision.

- Applying your experience and reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient case mixes.

Home: Church Walk
Location: Rochdale, OL11 2QX
Hours: 24, 36, 42, 48
Shifts: 12-hour shifts, with the flexibility needed for days and nights 
Hourly rate: £8.72 - £9.02 per hour (dependent on experience & qualifications)

Our Health Care Assistants provide a high level of personal, physical and emotional care that can include all aspects of day-to-day activities, personal care and companionship.

About the home 

Church Walk is an 18 bed home which cares for adults with a range of mental health needs, including Huntington's disease, other neurological disorders and behaviours which can present as challenging.  As one of the core members of our nursing team, you will have a huge impact on the quality of life for all our service users.
