Job role
You will be based in a busy workshop environment you will be required to undertake all levels of maintenance, repairs and major overhauls as well as completing standard servicing and diagnostics.
Occasional breakdown/ on site repairs.
You must be capable of following the repair process from fault finding to completion.
Moffett and fork servicing repairs and inspections to include pre LOLER checks.
Complete all paperwork to a high standard.
Some Welding/Fabrication.
Attributes:
- Qualified to City & Guilds level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
- IRTE for Truck and Trailers is a bonus.
- Have a good understanding/ knowledge of both electrical work and hydraulics is a must.
- Previous Moffett/Forklift experience not essential but would be a bonus.
- Previous heavy plant experience.
- Own personal tools.
- Flexible working hours.

£110 Per Day PAYE

MUST HAVE HELD CLASS 1 LICENCE FOR MORE THAN 2 YEARS
10:00 Starts - Finish 20:00

- A relevant formal qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Vehicle Repair)?
- Previous workshop experience?
Are you looking for a new challenge with a highly successful HGV and Commercial Vehicle Group where your contribution is recognised?

Daily tasks for the successful candidate will include:
- Carrying out fault diagnostic work, repairs & maintenance to customers vehicles in line with manufacturers & department of transport guidelines, to a high standard and in a timely manner.
- Ensuring all documentation is accurately and correctly completed inline with company and customers expectations & requirements.
- Ensuring that vehicles are returned to customers in a clean, safe & complete condition.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a relevant formal qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Vehicle Repair).
- Have own tools.
- Have basic computer skill.
- Work to a high standard and have a good eye for detail with a methodical approach to their work.
- Work well in a team and be a contributing team member.
- Be aware of the importance of Health and Safety compliance.
A HGV licence and DAF product knowledge would be an advantage for this role however, not essential.
