Crystal Creamery is currently looking for an  IT Technician to join our team in Modesto.  This position is responsible for providing technical support in all areas of Information Technology for the company. The role leverages emerging technology to meet the company’s business objectives and to align with the goals to improve overall efficiencies. The position involves maintaining, coordinating and designing the company’s computer-related activities along with assisting users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies. The incumbent also performs network administrative tasks when necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answers, evaluates, and prioritize incoming requests for assistance from users and customers experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies.
  • Logs and tracks requests using Help Desk software
  • Trains users on software and hardware
  • Contacts software and hardware vendors to request service as needed
  • Test software and hardware to evaluate ease of use and whether product will aid user in performing work.
  • Performs routine analysis to resolve potential software issues with systems such as DSD and conduct and coordinate any required testing of our software and/or hardware
  • Provide on-call support of various systems and applications as required
  • Prepares and maintains system documentation, operating procedures and associated documentation.
  • Installs various software and hardware as needed

  • IT Industry certifications

  • Ability to meet deadlines on a timely basis
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, peers and management
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours
  • Valid California driver’s license         
  • The ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds

  • Must be very well versed in all Microsoft Office software programs
  • Ability to learn new computer programs with ease
  • Experience in Windows operating systems
  • Experience with SAP a plus
  • Experience in virtualization with Hyper-V or VMware a plus
  • Experience with and administering Office 365 a plus
  • Experience administering and running jobs on the IBM Power System a plus
  • Experience in the Consumer Products and Goods industry a plus
  • Working knowledge of Windows Domains/Active Directory a plus
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts
