The role of a Farrow & Ball Colour Consultant is to provide an in-home & online colour consultancy service that adheres to Farrow & Ball standards, whilst meeting the customer’s needs and providing an excellent service.

What we expect from you

Colour Consultancy

  • Visit customer’s home (business, commercial space etc.) to advise and devise appropriate colour schemes (paint & paper) for customer’s requirements.
  • Produce detailed specification to include chosen colours, wallpaper, quantity, finishes, and third party/licenced products and costings.
  • Manage the end to end customer journey ensuring appropriate pre- and post-visit follow up, facilitation of post consultancy orders, early resolution of queries or questions.
  • Sell the colour consultancy service and maximise sales of F&B products.
  • Undertake regular visits to showrooms to ensure the colour consultancy service is promoted, and to keep up to date with new products, training and F&B campaigns and initiative.

Virtual Colour Consultancy

  • Offer Virtual Colour Consultancy service where appropriate ensuring high standards and behaviours.
  • Engage with customers over an online portal to deliver a virtual ‘in-home’ décor service as required by the client.
  • Adapting pre- and post-visit practices to effectively support a Virtual Colour Consultancy.

Showroom

Fulfil duties of a Showroom Assistant during your showrooms hours, and:

  • Train new team members to instil general interior design knowledge.
  • Attend and assist in local marketing and event exercises, in line with the marketing calendar.
  • Regularly update the colour consultancy corner of the showroom.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Technical Skills

  • Strong sales acumen – able to close, maximise sales and identify growth opportunities
  • Interior Design – able to create inspirational spaces and be aware of trends and influencers across all platforms
  • Product Expertise – excellent understanding of F&B products, history, manufacturing, and brand
  • Technical Expertise – understanding structures, lighting, substrates, spatial awareness

Knowledge

  • Understanding of the F&B points of difference and value for money messaging
  • Understanding of different property types, periods, locations etc
  • Understanding of colour psychology and translate these to F&B colour schemes
  • IT proficient – Microsoft Office, iPad, CRM, sales systems, and Outlook Diary Management
  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings

You will be working within a team of implementation Analysts to deliver a high-quality implementation service for new Buck clients and on projects for existing clients.

 

Our Pensions Implementation team is responsible for the configuration, testing and implementation of new pensions schemes, process and procedure into the Buck infrastructure, including legislative changes, ongoing maintenance and new developments.

  • Actively participate in the delivery of new client’s projects;
  • Program calculations and other automated facilities that allow the profitable administration of client schemes;
  • Modify and loading of critical data;
  • Update parameters for the suite of applications, including the pension portal and modellers;
  • Ensure adherence to departmental service standards including the use of UAT systems and sign-off procedures;
  • Specify and test enhancements to systems and processes;
  • Create and develop bespoke functionality in line with system specifications;
  • Peer review and ensure own work is peer reviewed as appropriate;
  • Acquire high-level knowledge of legislation and system functionality within the pension, payroll and treasury areas. Develop leadership attributes as required for progression;
  • Provide system demonstrations to new and existing clients, working with them to define requirements as necessary;
  • Positively contribute to the effectiveness of the Implementation department so that it can provide a quality service to the administration practice.

  • Proven Pension systems implementation experience;
  • Understanding of benefit administration systems;
  • Experience of complex data manipulation;
  • Ability to work productively as a team member and experience of working in a project team;
  • MS Office (Word / Excel / Access) to advanced level;
  • Good communication skills essential, both verbal and written;
  • Experience in interpretation of benefit systems specifications and proforma leading to preparation of benefit systems functionality;
  • Experience of complex data mapping documentation;
  • The ability to understand pension benefit calculation test cases and experience of testing functionality.

Highly desirable but not essential:
