This is an exciting opportunity to join the Cancer Servicesteam at ENHT
The successful candidate will manage and track referrals for patients with suspected and confirmed cancer to ensure that local and National cancer pathways and targets are met as well as facilitating and coordinating cancer MDT meetings on a weekly basis.
The ideal candidate will be able to work on their own initiative and be able towork autonomously, and have the ability to adapt to change while managing and prioritising a heavy workload, in a fast developing environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
To ensure the patients are tracked through every stage of the patient pathway on a daily basis, to ensure diagnostic tests and any subsequent treatments are achieved within targets and escalate any potential delays in pathways which will result in CWT breaches as soon as these are identified, in accordance with the breach protocols.
To prepare, organize and facilitate MDT meetings ensuring all relevant information, notes, imaging, histology etc. are available for discussion. Ensure the Video conferencing links to other Trusts are set up prior to the MDT meetings and escalating any issues to relevant departments to ensure timely resolution that does not affect the MDT meeting.
To record accurate outcomes live in MDT and update cancer data base (Infoflex). Follow up outcomes from the MDT i.e. book outpatient appointments and contact patients to confirm as per protocols. Escalate potential delays in the patient pathway in a timely manner.
To ensure all CWT processes/protocols are implemented & actioned within the necessary timeframes in order to avoid breaches of the cancer pathway national timescales.
Alert MDT leads of potential breach dates for patients.
Prepare breach reports and timelines for all confirmed breaches, obtaining validation from consultants ensuring reports are submitted within required timeframes
To undertake weekly PTL (patient tracking lists) with their line manager and pro-actively monitor patients to ensure breaches do not occur.
To ensure early identification of potential breaches or delays within the patient pathway and ensure they are escalated appropriately to your line manager.
Participate in cover for absent colleagues Maintain a good knowledge of Trust Policies regarding Data Protection and security of Information and their application within the workplace.
Gain a good understanding of the roles of other MDT Co-coordinators within the team, to facilitate ease of cover arrangements in their absence Ensure the accurate and timely collection of National Mandatory data in line with National requirements guidelines
Skills:
Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to work effectively across organisational boundaries
Must work effectively with clinical and non clinical staff to facilitate the smooth pathway for all cancer services patients
To be able to record data accurately for validation purposes
Must have good keyboard skills to facilitate live data capture in MDT meetings.

To maintain and develop relationships within the department, the Trust, and with outside agencies. To support training and development within the team where appropriate and necessary.
Administrative Duties:
To maintain accurate filing systems (electronic and manual) to ensure efficiency in producing desired information in relation to mandatory Minimum data sets including CWT/COSD/National Audit.
To administer and facilitate the MDT meetings which involves booking of venues, the preparation of agendas and collation of case notes.
To document and circulate, patient treatment plans outcomes of MDT meetings and ensure that content of discussion within the MDT, is faxed/emailed to the GP after MDT meetings.
To attend weekly MDT meetings and maintain a record of attendance of the Multi-disciplinary team at MDT meetings inline with Peer review
To be conversant with the Patient Administration System, Radiology and Pathology systems, Infoflex databases and Microsoft suite of applications.
General:
To be flexible with working hours, in order to fit in with the MDT meeting schedules.
To assist in the training of newly appointed MDT Co-coordinators, supporting them during their induction A certain degree of manual handling is involved in the physical pulling and carrying of patients case notes.
The post holder will be constantly dealing with data and listening to discussions about cancer treatment and sometimes end of life care for patients, which at times can become emotionally draining.
To attend non-clinical Mandatory Training in line with Trust policy.
To work in accordance with all Trust and Directorate Policies.

To maintain and update the skills required to administer intravenous contrast media and to be aware of the clinical hazards and emergencies that such injections can induce.

To be responsible for entering pre-determined clinical data and such additional, professional observations as may be appropriate onto computer based systems such as the Radiology Information System (RIS).
To supply and/or administer medicines using Patient Group Directions, without compromising patient safety.
After appropriate, recognised and documented training, be prepared to perform the intravenous administration of contrast media, strictly adhering to agreed protocols and procedures. To maintain and update the skills required to administer intravenous contrast media and to be aware of the clinical hazards and emergencies that such injections can induce.
To be able to work to the highest levels of professional competence, whilst at the same time having the provide the maximum degree of physical, emotional and mental effort required to perform accurate examinations on patients who can be critically injured terminally ill or otherwise immobile and unable to offer any assistance.
To show evidence to maintenance of general technical and professional skills, and participation in Continuous Professional Development to such a level required to remain eligible for registration by the Health Professions Councils.
To have a flexible approach to working hours and be prepared to participate fully in shifts, extended working day and on-call working rotas and schedules as may be required.

Summary of Position: The role of Senior Radiographer at OSD Healthcare will be to assist in the provision of a high quality and effective diagnostic imaging and personalised service, whilst assuring the optimum quality of care for patients.
Key Responsibilities
1.Undertake Radiographic and imaging examinations as required
2.Maintain a high standard of Radiography services to patients and staff in other Departments at all times, in terms of courtesy, kindness, interest and efficiency
3.Ensure that Radiation Protection Rules are applied at all times and to be familiar with and obey Ionising Radiation Regulations (2017) and Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (2017) and observe Departmental local rules and protocols concerning ionising radiation

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Cancer Servicesteam at ENHT
The successful candidate will manage and track referrals for patients with suspected and confirmed cancer to ensure that local and National cancer pathways and targets are met as well as facilitating and coordinating cancer MDT meetings on a weekly basis.
The ideal candidate will be able to work on their own initiative and be able towork autonomously, and have the ability to adapt to change while managing and prioritising a heavy workload, in a fast developing environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
To ensure the patients are tracked through every stage of the patient pathway on a daily basis, to ensure diagnostic tests and any subsequent treatments are achieved within targets and escalate any potential delays in pathways which will result in CWT breaches as soon as these are identified, in accordance with the breach protocols.
To prepare, organize and facilitate MDT meetings ensuring all relevant information, notes, imaging, histology etc. are available for discussion. Ensure the Video conferencing links to other Trusts are set up prior to the MDT meetings and escalating any issues to relevant departments to ensure timely resolution that does not affect the MDT meeting.
To record accurate outcomes live in MDT and update cancer data base (Infoflex). Follow up outcomes from the MDT i.e. book outpatient appointments and contact patients to confirm as per protocols. Escalate potential delays in the patient pathway in a timely manner.
To ensure all CWT processes/protocols are implemented & actioned within the necessary timeframes in order to avoid breaches of the cancer pathway national timescales.
Alert MDT leads of potential breach dates for patients.
Prepare breach reports and timelines for all confirmed breaches, obtaining validation from consultants ensuring reports are submitted within required timeframes
To undertake weekly PTL (patient tracking lists) with their line manager and pro-actively monitor patients to ensure breaches do not occur.
To ensure early identification of potential breaches or delays within the patient pathway and ensure they are escalated appropriately to your line manager.
Participate in cover for absent colleagues Maintain a good knowledge of Trust Policies regarding Data Protection and security of Information and their application within the workplace.
