The Garage Door Apprentice is responsible for assisting and learning the installation of residential and custom garage doors. We are looking for driven and self-motivated individuals seeking a trade they can grow into a career. The right candidate will be mechanically and technically inclined and possesses the interpersonal skills to thrive in this customer service focused position.
The focus of this job is having a poised and an engaging, empathetic communication style. Natural warmth and enthusiasm are the keys to achieving the goals of this job. The work involves driving toward results by enrolling the commitment and buy-in of others. While the job requires strong initiative and self-direction, results are only achieved with and through people. Duties and Responsibilities for the Garage Door Apprentice:
Compensation & Training:
A1's paid Apprenticeship Training Program consists of a combination of field training in your local market and technical training at our corporate headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. There are several different phases of training, and the entire training process typically takes about 6 months until apprentices are fully able to perform all aspects of their job with little to supervision.
You will train in your local market for up to 8 weeks. If you graduate into Technical Training, you will then train at our corporate office for 6 weeks. Upon return to your local market, you will then be placed into our virtual field supervisor program for approximately 3 months where you will call into and talk with highly experienced technicians multiple times on each job as you continue to learn and enhance your skills.
Travel and accommodations are provided while in Phoenix for Technical Training.
Upon completion of the program, you will graduate to an Installer or a Sales and Service Technician.
Based on the extensive training we provide; Junior Technicians and Installers can expect to earn between $60 and $85k their first full year.
Career growth and mobility opportunities are available after successfully meeting the objectives of Junior Tech/Installer. Training pay is disclosed when you have been invited to interview for acceptance into the program.

Role Overview
Wood’s Topeka/Wichita, KS offices are seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience in bridge design and project management. This position requires a candidate with effective time-management, written communication, planning, organization and interpersonal skills.
