Role Overview
Grassroots Cannabis is looking for a safety-minded Kitchen Assistant for cannabis product processing. The ideal candidate is proactive, innovative, passionate, able to beat deadlines and find answers when it appears there are none. The position also requires you to follow good manufacturing practices at all times.
Responsibilities
•Perform general manual labor tasks that include loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials and equipment.
•Properly clean and maintain kitchen equipment and overall facility.
•Maintain strict inventory records of all products and equipment used in kitchen for cannabis product processing.
•Wash and sterilize laboratory, kitchen glassware, and other sensitive equipment before / after use.
•Perform record keeping and documentation work as it pertains towards kitchen activities.
•Utilize spreadsheets and email for written documentation and communication.
•Participate in strategic discussions about company, direction, product execution in an innovative, honest, and problem-solving dialogue.
•Promote the mission, vision, and values of the company to all team members at all times.
•Work with passion towards industry, company, customers, co-workers, partners and investors.
•Maintain positive, enthusiastic attitude towards all work asked of you to complete.
Qualifications
•Over 2 years’ chocolatier and confectioner experience.
•Willingness to clean dishes.
•Excellent written and oral communication skills.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office products – Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
•Capable of conducting, assessing, and documenting inventory.
•Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
•Effective time management and prioritization skills. Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills.
•Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 70 pounds, manage stairs, and perform typical cleaning of facilities and equipment.

•Must hold a valid Food Service Manager certificate
•Must be 21 years of age or older to apply
•Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
•Experience in healthcare, agriculture, logistics, or CPG industry preferred but not required

We are DRIFTING BACK to summer camp at Camp Welaka this summer! Camp Welaka is located on the east coast of Florida in beautiful Tequesta, Florida occupying 640 acres which includes a swimming pool, lake and river access.
Spend your time at our summer resident camp filling your bucket by making a measurable impact on the lives of our girls, who for some it will be their first summer camp experience, ever.
Our three resident camp summer sessions are as follows:
Session 1: Thursday, July 8 - Monday, July 11, 2021
Session 2: Monday, July 12 - Friday, July 16, 2021
Session 3: Monday, July 19 - Friday, July 23, 2021
Applicants are encouraged to commit to all three (3) summer sessions, and if approved to work less than all three sessions, must be able to commit to the entire session or sessions they are selected to work. Pre-camp training will be held Monday June 28 Friday, July 2, 2021. Post-camp closing activities will occur on Saturday, July 24, 2021.
What will a typical day look like in this role?
Do you enjoy cooking for groups? This position helps the Kitchen Manager provide a variety of nutritious, appetizing meals on a set schedule, ensuring that the cuisine is a positive and memorable experience for every camper! This position is also responsible for ensuring the kitchen is operated and maintained in accordance with all applicable quality standards.
This position lives on property in an air-conditioned cabin however you must be able to withstand the heat and stress of an average day (and night) at camp.
While no two days will ever be the same, there will be one daily constant: our ultimate goal is to make sure that our campers and staff are safe and having a fantastic time at camp!

ELIGIBILITY:
The Kitchen Assistant is responsible for duties in the role of Expeditor, Hostess and Dishroom. They assists with patient, cafeteria and special function meal service in accordance with established menus and departmental policy. Employees in this position need to maintain a friendly and cheerful demeanor at all times. This part time position is typically scheduled for 40-64 hrs ppd. Maybe be opportunities to pick up more shifts. A variety of job routines are scheduled.
Preferred:
Previous experience in institutional food service.
High school education preferred.
Coursework in institutional food service helpful.
Demonstrates appropriate handwashing skills for infection control.
Uses two patient identifiers when delivering food products to patients.
