What you'll be doing as Waste Facility Labourer 
Our award-winning Technical waste transfer station is where aerosols and batteries, through to paint and fluorescent tubes, are assessed by our chemists, sorted and sent on for further treatment and disposal. As one of our Waste Facility Labourers, you’ll be part of a hard-working and skilled team, with duties that include:
- Operating the on-site waste processing equipment and forklift trucks.
- Unloading and loading lorries.
- Plant and equipment daily check.
- Assisting with inspecting and segregating waste.
- Going off site to help our drivers with loading and packing waste on customers’ sites.
- Sweeping and jet-washing the yard.

The work involves an element of physical labour and conditions can be uncomfortable e.g. sometimes wearing a protective suit and respirator.

What we’re looking for in our Waste Facility Labourer
- A positive and professional attitude.
- Reliability.
- You enjoy team work but are also happy to work on your own initiative.
- A forklift truck licence, though not essential as we'll train you up if not.
- Full UK driving licence.

What are the working hours?
7am-4pm or 9am-6pm Monday to Friday, rotated on a fortnightly basis. A total of 40 hours per week.

Experienced Window Fitter

Didcot Glass & Glazing Ltd are a family run firm located in Wallingford, Oxfordshire who are looking to add a new member permanently to the team due to a large increase in work.

We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated window fitter to take lead on installations and in all aspects of windows & glazing in all types of properties from commercial premises to private households. Needs to be an excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills and a clean driving license as you will be given a company fleet vehicle.

The Experienced Window Fitter reports to the Managing Director and will work to install, repair and maintain glazing / door systems and fixtures in residential and commercial settings. The successful candidate will be joining our current existing team and will ideally bring years of experience, leadership, and energy to an already vibrant team.

Required Experience:

  • 5+ Years’ experience in Installations
  • Install windows and doors in aluminium, UPVC and timber.
  • Install composite doors and aluminium Bi-folds.
  • Install lintels to support brickwork.
  • Install conservatories in Aluminium and UPVC.
  • Remove any existing windows and doors prior to installing new.
  • Replace glazing in windows, doors and shopfront glazing.
  • Undertake window and door repairs/maintenance and replace locks, hinges and handles.
  • Patch in plaster after installations
  • Patch in render after installations
  • Complete site surveys and take measurements.
  • Driving Licence and CSCS (preferred)

A DBS check will be provided and paid for.

The Experienced Window Fitter will work in cooperation with management, colleagues & other trades and labourers to ensure that all specifications, legislation and policies are met, and to ensure efficient completion of any project. Providing adequate services will ensure that all standards of building codes and health and safety are met.

+ Strong executive presence and polish, with extraordinary management, interpersonal, written and presentation skills.
+ Thrives in a dynamic, fast-growing, rapidly changing environment while being able to work independently and remotely from other members of your team and corporate.
+ Relevant software industry experience in any of the following: IT systems, enterprise or infrastructure management, application development and management, security, and/or analytics.
+ Track record of success and knowledge with prospects and customers in the defined territory.
