An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised, motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Medical Recruitment team based at St Nicholas Hospital, Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne. This post is a Secondment/Fixed Term contract for 12 months to start before June 2021 to cover maternity leave.
This is a challenging and fast paced role. You will lead the Medical Recruitment team in providing a high quality, technical medical recruitment service for the whole Trust, recruiting all grades of Trust employed staff, ensuring the team meets its statutory and NHS requirements in relation to medical recruitment issues.
You will ensure that medical recruitment, including international recruitment is efficient and the relevant systems are updated to accurately reflect the changing terms and conditions of the medical workforce. You will work closely with recruiting managers and the Medical Recruitment team when doing this, supporting them to develop new and innovative ways to recruit to the Trust.
You will also support the Deputy Medical Director for International Recruitment in delivering the Psychiatry Fellowship programme, from arranging the recruitment through to induction and development sessions, along with providing advice around routes to employment in the UK for international medical graduates.
This role is a very varied and interesting position within the team and will provide a great opportunity for someone who is looking at building on their knowledge in recruitment of medical staff and supporting the development of the team. You will need to be professional at all times, have excellent communication skills, be able to work under pressure with a keen attention to detail.
