Galliford Try Building Southern have a new opportunity for two Document Controllers to join their team across multiple projects.  One role will be required for Cornerstone School located in Bexley and the other role will be supporting a project in and around London.

Please note that both these roles are initially based on an 18 month fixed term contract.

 

Role Overview:

The role of the Document Controller is to provide a consistent and timeous service to contract teams by ensuring that project information / documentation is captured within the corporate Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) for ease of retrieval by site teams. Reporting to the Systems Manager and working alongside the internal contract teams; Design Management and Project Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design team ensuring all design information is controlled and maintained in a methodical manner and issued within set time scales.
  • Ensure company and project information management protocols and procedures are followed (including but not limited to the IMP and BEP).
  • Be communication liaison for the design and site teams including key documentation and handover information.
  • Build effective working relationships with all members of the site team, up to and including Director level.
  • Support the Viewpoint Champion for the project team.
  • Support the relevant Teams with the workflow process, RDD, RFI, Change Control and linking information to virtual containers within our CDE.
  • Manage the CDE i.e creating internal and external document containers with CDE template or inviting and revoking internal and external users.
  • Manage registers and audit site records regularly to ensure compliance with our BMS processes and procedures.
  • Generate and issue reports to internal/external parties when required.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Aware of individual Health and Safety responsibilities and adheres to company health and safety policy and procedures.
  • Able to demonstrate alignment and work in line with the Galliford Try values - Excellence, Passion, Integrity and Collaboration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A highly organised approach to work.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • The ability to effectively and proactively co-ordinate multiple activities under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work and communicate with all members of the site team and the wider team if required.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Computer literate with knowledge/experience of Microsoft suite, i.e. outlook, word, excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge and experience of using Viewpoint for Projects is essential.
  • Relevant degree and/or experience of working in information management or related field.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of the Document Control Process at operational level.
  • Willingness to undertake relevant professional qualifications.

The Jellies Make operator role will be working in a fast paced environment and be tasked with working closely with the Line team, Area Coordinator and Line leader. You will provide feedback and solutions to improve the teams current work processes and line performance. You will be responsible for maintaining basic line standards in order to ensure everyone achieves the safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and moral (SQCDSM) standards / targets for the Line and Section.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Operating machinery in line with SOP's
  • Use of LOTTO to secure machinery when not in use
  • Clean equipment while it is not in use at the end of every shift, and sterilize thoroughly to ensure it remains sanitary
  • Observe dials and gauges while the machinery is in use to ensure everything is set at the correct temperature, and adjust as necessary
  • Be aware of any changes in a machine's capabilities, and report any malfunctions to management
  • Record production data at the end of every day, writing down how much was produced, and log that data daily
  • Collect samples from the machines while in the middle of processing to visually inspect the quality of the food
  • What we are looking for:
  • Someone who is reliable and always on time.
  • Willingness to learn
  • Experience working with industrial machinery
  • Basic troubleshooting skills and basic mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work efficiently and safely
  • Ability to work in hot environments with loud noises

Pay rate:
£11.49 per hour
Shift Pattern:
Day Shift 06:00 - 14:00
Backshift: 14:00 - 22:00
Nightshift:22:00 - 06:00
