POSITION SUMMARY:
Plan the practices of manufacturing and develop tools, processes, and equipment to increase productivity and reduce operational cost through reengineering of the manufacturing processes.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
+ Conducting time studies and “line balance” assembly production lines.
+ Analyzing manufacturing processes using industrial engineering tools and techniques.
+ Conducting different industrial engineering studies and analysis such as manpower forecasts, capacity analysis, resource leveling, etc.
+ Assisting in the implementation and utilization of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and methodologies.
+ Studying and analyzing variation in critical manufacturing processes.
+ Assisting in new model integration activities.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
Education:
Must possess a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical).
Experience:
+ Must have 5 or more years of experience utilizing industrial engineering tools and methods for a manufacturing environment.
+ Previous experience in auto/marine manufacturing helpful.
+ Must have working knowledge of Word, Excel, and AutoCad.
+ Working knowledge of Visio and Unigraphics a plus.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Responsible for functioning as an individual contributor and subject matter expert for manufacturing processes, testing, and troubleshooting. Provide engineering expertise in a technical subject matter expert capacity supporting the design and operation of equipment and systems. Actively engaged in the installation, evaluation, startup, verification, maintenance, sustainability, and process optimization of manufacturing systems and equipment. Summary Description:

Job Details
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls; coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products
  • Develops and maintains production shop floor CNC programs and source code
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, symbols and geometric tolerances based on commercial specifications
  • Makes improvements to tooling/fixture designs and to existing tooling and fixtures
  • Assists with lean implementation across the organization

Qualifications:
  • 5 years’ experience as a Manufacturing Engineer with technical background in CNC machining of various metals within a short run environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred
  • Lathe, Mill Turn, Swiss Turn machinery experience required
  • Firearms manufacturing experience preferred
  • SPC, PPAP, Gage R&R, 5S and Lean Manufacturing techniques preferred
  • 3 and 4 axis vertical milling experience required
  • SolidWorks/CAMWorks Mill/Lathe experience required
  • Blueprint reading and GD&T experience required
  • Proficient in CAD/CAM systems, SolidWorks with CAMWorks preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office including MS Project
  • Knowledge of welding, heat treatment, machining and special processes
  • Knowledge of tolerance stack analysis as applied to manufacturing operation development
  • Ability to travel up to 5%

POSITION SUMMARY:


Plan the practices of manufacturing and develop tools, processes, and equipment to increase productivity and reduce operational cost through reengineering of the manufacturing processes.


ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :


+ Conducting time studies and “line balance” assembly production lines.

+ Analyzing manufacturing processes using industrial engineering tools and techniques.

+ Conducting different industrial engineering studies and analysis such as manpower forecasts, capacity analysis, resource leveling, etc.

+ Assisting in the implementation and utilization of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and methodologies.

+ Studying and analyzing variation in critical manufacturing processes.

+ Assisting in new model integration activities.

+ Implementing new technology and equipment into manufacturing process.

+ Assisting with MES software development and serving implementation administrator.

+ Developing labor estimates for new product development.

+ Data collection and analysis for the purpose of further refining labor estimates.

+ Performing related assignments as required.


KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:


Education:


Must possess a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical).


Experience:


+ Must have 5 or more years of experience utilizing industrial engineering tools and methods for a manufacturing environment.

+ Previous experience in auto/marine manufacturing helpful.

+ Must have working knowledge of Word, Excel, and AutoCad.

+ Working knowledge of Visio and Unigraphics a plus.

+ Proficiency in MS Project, Power BI, and Access preferred.

+ Simulation experience is desired.

+ Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma knowledge or experience is strongly desired.
