Job Duties:

Supervisor Role Responsibilities

·To be responsible for monitoring personnel, resources and quality control ensuring products are produced to a high-quality standard and in line with customer delivery dates;

·To monitor quality control and establish and enforce company standards, documentation and procedures, including the compliance with the CAR and NCR processes;

·To supervise and co-ordinate all activities related to Quality Control throughout the production process

·To be responsible for identifying and implementing cost efficiencies and developing cooperation within and between departments to achieve regular incremental improvements to the manufacturing process;

·To document poor quality and investigate remake and reworks as a result of non-conformances through root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions and monitor results;

Person Attributes

·Experience of working in Quality Control with a sound working knowledge and experience of working in a fast-moving company;

·Excellent product knowledge with knowledge of all processes in place to ensure a quality manufactured product;

·A good understanding of what a good quality product looks like with the ability to educate the staff team to understand and achieve the manufacturing of a good quality product;

·Excellent eye for detail with a strong knowledge of quality processes and the ability to focus on continuous improvements;

·Previous supervisor experience would be an advantage with the ability to coach and mentor staff team;

·Qualified to NVQ level 3 in Supervisory management or a willingness to undertake this qualification;

·Good people management skills with the ability to motivate and mentor your team, undertake regular reviews with individuals, deliver tool box talks and team meetings and undertake yearly appraisals;

·A can-do attitude is a must with the desire to achieve and be proud of the product quality;

The Client
Our client, a leading name in the design and manufacture of high performance automotive components are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician, with mechanical knowledge to join their team during a period of major investment and growth.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate will have a relevant time served electrical engineering apprenticeship, be qualified to Level 4 or above and have at least two years' experience in a manufacturing environment.

The Role
The implementation and execution of PPM whilst always striving for continuous improvement. Corrective maintenance, overhaul and breakdown maintenance of machinery to ensure the quality of production is maintained and achieved within set timescales.
  • Respond appropriately to unexpected and/or continuing situations, which develop in the work environment
  • Ensure prompt attention and resolution of conditions that impact the business
  • Schedule machine time with Production in order to perform repairs or planned maintenance to equipment and may secure necessary materials and parts for the scheduled and unscheduled repairs
  • Build and maintain history on equipment, assess breakdowns, prioritise and take appropriate corrective action. Provide technical assistance to ensure shortest possible machine downtime, recording and creating manuals & drawings for early machine recovery
  • Attend departmental meetings with team members to discuss projects, issues, team briefings etc.
  • Order required parts follow up orders to ensure spare parts are fitted to the appropriate machine on delivery
  • Process, review, and expedite work orders, modification and equipment drawings, schematics, check sheets, job instructions, and calibrations records

Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship, together with at least 2 years' experience in a maintenance department of a manufacturing company
  • Minimum HNC or City & Guilds level 4 or equivalent (Technical Certificate, etc.)
  • Essential - PLC experience Fault finding and interrogation - Allen Bradley/Mitsubishi/ Siemens; ability to connect laptop and make minor program alterations
  • Time served apprenticeship
  • Ability to fault find, identify root cause, and prevent reoccurrence of issues quickly is also essential
  • Capable of working unsupervised or within a team
  • Conversant with the use of machine tools
  • AC, DC & Servo Drive Experience
  • Knowledge of maintenance policies, procedures, and terms

The Person
  • Great communication skills at all levels
  • Ability to undertake a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints
  • Respond effectively and perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly
  • Knowledge of appropriate office software applications
  • Good organisational and time management skills

* Produce the Raw Materials dashboard to track progress against targets
* Business partnering with the buyers to calculate forecast variances by project, as well as reporting actual performance to date
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:
* Part Qualified or finalist CIMA/ACA/ACCA with experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
* Will also consider newly qualified accountants with a passion to make an impact in manufacturing accounting
* Extensive data analysis experience and understanding of financials
* Strong excel and systems skills
* An understanding of raw material costing/factory costing would also be beneficial
