This role is responsible to create drawings/designs using AutoCAD 2D and Solidworks to meet specifications. To be considered - must have knowledge of AutoCAD, 2D and 3D design software. Qualifications:
•Knowledge of AutoCAD, 2D and 3D design (Solidworks) software.
•Skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
•Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred
•Metal working, Stamping or automotive background is ideal
•Develop detailed multi-station tooling.
•Design & implementation of developed tooling.
•Hands on with operators on the production floor.
•Evaluate the rough draft design and decipher all specifications.
•Utilize our state-of-the-art simulation software.
•Drawings to be prepared according to the standards and terms of the company.
•Maintain drawings in order to improve department efficiencies.
•Working on projects or assignments in a team or group environment.
•Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production issues.
•Prioritizes workload to ensure designs are completed according to established timelines.

A Mechanical Design Engineer/Project Engineer is needed for a leading machinery manufacturing organization in Atlanta, GA. The Mechanical Design Engineer/ Project Engineer is responsible for managing mechanical design builds for complex high speed packaging machinery.
Qualified candidates must have a BSME or BSMET, and 5+ years of experience leading mechanical system design for packaging machinery. Relocation is available for qualified candidates.
•Create conceptual designs for both complete packaging systems as well as individual mechanisms; conduct preliminary feasibility studies and cost estimates
•Manage project documentation and bills of materials
•Work in tandem with electrical design and electrical assembly groups to ensure successful implementation of packaging system design
•Oversee project/product management including scheduling, planning, estimating and resource assignment throughout the full product life cycle
•Interface directly with customers on machine problems; Establish relationships with technical personnel in the field and provide troubleshooting assistance when needed

•Design Vacuum Jacketed Piping (VJP) systems IAW ASME B31.3 & ASME B31.12.
•Understanding P&IDs and converting to dimensioned isometric drawings
•Knowledge of pipe stress analysis, thermal analysis, fluid flow analysis, expansion joints, and pipe supports.
•Experience in AutoCAD to create 2D Isometric general arrangement drawings and 2D Isometric fabrication drawings creating piping designs, pipe routings and detailing components utilizing AutoCAD
•Create and review Bill of Materials (BOMs) after customer has approved drawing. Must have strong knowledge of pipe and pipe fittings.
