Job Description:
A loan processor is responsible for evaluating, authorizing approval or deny applications for people or businesses. Loan processors act as a liaison between customers and financial institutions who assist qualified applicants acquire loans in a timely manner. Additionally, loan processors meet with customers to determine their needs and recommend the best loan products to help meet their financial goals. For those clients undergoing financial hardship, loan processors help with determining ratios and metrics to set up debt payment plans. Loan processors can work with consumers, businesses, or home ownership.

Hingham's Residential Lending Group is seeking a full-time loan processor to support our growing residential loan portfolio. Strong candidates will have a demonstrated record of accomplishment in residential mortgage loan processing, solid communications skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements for residential mortgage lending.
• Receives submitted loan applications from loan officers. Ensures application package is complete and accurate, including all initial disclosures.
• Inputs loan application or reviews previously submitted loan application data in Bank’s Loan Origination software system (LOS).
• Audits loan file documentation to confirm appropriate & accurate receipt and completion of any/all application documentation including, appropriate signatures, dates and other relevant data.
• Prepares required initial or amended disclosures within required time frame.
• Orders flood certifications, appraisal reports, title requests & credit reports.
• Communicates loan status’ and related documentation deficiencies to loan officers.
• Reviews and evaluates loan file information/documentation for both compliance pre-underwriting. Ensures that the loan file is complete, accurate and in accordance with Bank requirements.
• Tracks commitment to ensure that all pre-closing conditions are satisfactorily met and provides approving officer with exhibits for evaluation & sign off on all pre-closing conditions.
• Serves as liaison between client and attorney relative to loan closing with respect to scheduling and final pre-closing exhibits.
• Resolves any post-closing quality control issues.
• Experience with Encompass and/or Mortgagebot LOS a plus.
