Main duties of the job

We are looking for someone who has excellent knowledge of Primary Care to provide practice nursing services to the practice population and deliver care within the boundaries of their role.

The Candidate will be a lead Nurse within the practice and work along side the clinical team to manage Long term health conditions, Cytology and Baby Immunisations. You will hold a degree in Nursing and have General Practice experience.

Job Summary

To be responsible for the delivery of practice nursing services, working as part of the practice multidisciplinary team, delivering care within their scope of practice to the entitled patient population. The practice nurse will be responsible for a number of clinical areas such as infection prevention and control, health promotion, health prevention, well women and well man clinics, as well as supporting the management team in the reviewing of clinical policy and procedure.

The post-holder will have the required level of training and competence and will work within patient group directions where these are available.

Duties and responsibilities:
