Under the direction of the General Manager or Assistant General Manager, the Office Manager is responsible for leading the office staff to achieve customer service goals and ensure Copart processes are implemented and followed for the Customer Service, Dispatch, and Title Processing functional units. Through a thorough understanding of Copart practices, the Office Manager will lead their team to facilitate a unique Copart experience for customers by implementing and maintaining Copart best practices that meet company policy, quality and service expectations.
* Hire, train, develop and motivate staff members
* Manage day to day operations of all positions managed
* Ensure all office positions meet company standards
* Ensure performance is within company standards
* Provide direction to team regarding administrative duties and goals
* Employee scheduling, time and attendance management
* Cash handling to include daily bank deposits
* Ability to complete all job tasks for positions supervised
* Lead team to meet or exceed facility goals
* Monitor office supplies inventory and purchase as needed
* Conduct performance reviews according to company schedules
* Plan and lead meetings per company standards
* Handle employee/customer service issues

* High School Degree (GED), some college preferred
* Three (3) years office management or equivalent experience
* Computer Proficiency (MS Office Suite)
* Excellent communication skills -- verbal and written
* Excellent customer service skills
* Ability to hire, train and develop employees
* Typing at least 45 Words Per Minute
* Basic 10 Key proficiency
* Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
* Ability to manage expenses with basic accounting and inventory management skills
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment
* Managing multiple processes for employees
* Conflict management skills
* Valid Driver's license
* Ability to travel as needed
* Ability to respond to alarm calls as needed
* Bilingual skill a plus

A. Personnel – The Assistant Manager will assist in the training and motivation of all store personnel,

a. The Assistant Manager will:
i. Give appropriate customer service,
ii. Greet customers with a smile,
iii. Suggest merchandise purchases to all customers,
iv. Operate the cash register accurately,
v. Price, stock and face merchandise. Stocking merchandise is includes, but is not limited to, gondolas, shelving, counters, walk-in coolers, upright coolers and backroom storage areas. At times this may entail lifting weights of 50 lbs. or more to accomplish certain stocking requirements.
vi. Maintain the store in accordance with maintenance policies and conform to Health Department rules and regulations at all times. To accomplish this, these tasks may include, but are not limited to, replacing gas nozzles and hoses, changing pump fuel filters, cleaning or changing furnace and equipment filters, sweeping parking lots, picking up trash on store property, emptying trash cans, keeping store shelves clean, stocked and fronted and cleaning restrooms and floors.
vii. Follow all security and safety procedures
viii. Account for all shift and daily transactions accurately,
ix. Present a clean and neat appearance at all times,
x. Perform other duties that may be assigned by the store Manager or District Manager.
C. Controls – The Assistant Manager is responsible for all cash and inventories during the absence of the Store Manager. All overages and shortages are to be reported to the Store Manager.
