Job Responsibilities:

  • Managing the factory’s daily operations and employees

  • Excellent problem solving skills, able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Quality and safety conscious

Job Summary:

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with direct reports to develop, train and guide them to achieve KPI’s.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required 
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Manufacturing manager leadership role (Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply chain)
  • Experience in Food CPG/ FMCG highly preferred
  • Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, and flexible

  • Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products, utilizing information from Production Management as well as knowledge of production processes and methods, machine and equipment capabilities and staffing requirements
  • Assist in the preparation of operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure the production and quality of products meets specifications
  • Enforce production processes and methods to ensure proper handling of products and equipment
  • Assist in the supervision, training and evaluation of staff, spending a minimum of 50% of the time on the production floor
  • Analyze manufacturing schedule to plan work assignments for the group on basis of priority, worker skills, production methods, processes, material, machines and equipment
  • Review work orders, product specifications, technical instructions and facility requirements and to facilitate requisition of tools, equipment and supplies with Production Management
  • Demonstrate work methods such as wire routing, assembly, inspection sequence and test equipment operation
  • Examine product in accordance with manufacturing and quality standards to insure acceptability
You’ll also be responsible for reviewing and compiling operations records, participating in the work of subordinates by performing such tasks as setup, operation, repair and troubleshoot, applying expertise to continuously improve products, processes and personnel, and complying with DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements
Other responsibilities include:
  • Counsel and coach associates when necessary, including facilitating conflict resolution
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations
  • Administer Garmin policies and procedures as outlined by the Associate Handbook, Manufacturing procedures, and other company policies
  • Monitor security of building, equipment, and occupants during hours of minimal occupation
  • Provide seamless turnover of shift activities to the on-coming Shift Supervisor or Manager
  • Evaluate equipment and processes to ensure personnel safety

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess the following education, experience, and skills:


  • A Bachelor’s Degree or an Associates Degreein Business Administration, Management, Operations, Material Management or substantially similar operations related field with a minimum of 2years of demonstrated operations leadership experience

  • Must possess previous supervisory experience or demonstrated experience in leading, training, mentoring, and/or developing other team members

  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, and work well with others



Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast-paced and challenging environment, detail orientation with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, and proficient computer skills using Microsoft Word and Excel are also required.



Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations, Material Management or substantially similar operations related field from a four-year college or university and 5 years of supervisory/management experience are highly preferred. Training or mentoring experience, experience in DFT or Lean Manufacturing methods, and/or previous Oracle experience is also desirable

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to immediately fill the position of Production Manager. The ideal candidate will be a hands on leader, who will effectively deliver a high quality product that is produced cost-effectively, efficiently and on-time with the highest positive impact to the financial bottom line. The primary responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Managing the factory’s daily operations and employees
  • Scheduling production and installation schedules to meet deadlines
  • Understanding company product lines, equipment & machinery, assembly standards, and installation techniques
  • Enforcing quality assurance standards
  • Enforcing safety standards
  • The ability to interact with sales staff to review designs, as defined by owner
  • Maintaining factory equipment and company vehicles
  • Producing daily cut-lists
  • Forecasting production requirements and maintaining necessary inventory levels
  • Purchasing, tracking and receiving of all purchased materials
  • Problem resolution and customer service with clients

Job Requirements:

  • Prior management and supervisory experience (3-5 years), with hiring responsibilities
  • Experience in woodworking or cabinet making fields (32mm systems a plus)
  • Experience with woodworking equipment and hand tools
  • Excellent problem solving skills, able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Quality and safety conscious
  • Ability to drive bottom line results while maintaining service orientation
  • Computer proficiency
