The Role

In your role as a Senior Pension Associate in our Pension Outsourcing team, you will perform a wide variety of recurring defined benefit plan administration services for clients, contribute to special projects, and provide ad hoc client support services. You will serve as the day to day project manager for specific work streams, contributing to client management and special projects, while also mentoring less experienced associates.

The Responsibilities
As a Senior Pension Associate you will:
+ Prepare moderately complex benefit calculations and trust instructions
+ Identify and resolve data issues as they arise
+ Perform technical review for pension calculations, correspondence and payment entry/trust instructions
+ Interpret and draft moderately complex administration procedures and documentation
+ Respond to and resolve more complex plan provision questions and issues raised by less experienced Analysts
+ Reconcile trustee payments and review payment entry in pension system and/or trustee system
+ Review work product: benefit packages, data and system updates, calculator output and updates
+ Create internal administration processes for clients if one does not exist
+ Follow and update documentation materials as directed
+ Employ Willis Towers Watson’s Professional Excellence tools and concepts to ensure efficient and quality output/service delivery
+ Adhere to plan documents and government regulations in administering plans
+ Manage and coach team to ensure progress against established budgets, improve efficiency, and meet time lines and quality standards
+ Serve as primary, daily contact to clients on delivery of services and raise issues as appropriate
+ Deliver on projects to meet or exceed client expectations
+ Develop, train and provide feedback to team members

We are currently hiring for a Human Resources Generalist to assist in the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties.  The HR Generalist will manage worker compensation claims, support recruitment, maintaining personnel files, manage benefits, and manage leave administration.  Supports some or all the following functional areas:  departmental development, HRIS, employee relations, training and development, benefits, time and attendance, and employment.   This position may provide additional focused HR support as the main contact to specific employee classes to include implementation, management, policies, and programs as assigned.  Works under the general supervision of the HR manager.

Key Result Areas:  The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: 

  1. Supports benefits administration to include enrollment, re-enrollment, education, claims resolution, change reporting, and may include a reconciliation of invoices for payment.
  2. May participate in recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, and temporary employees; ensures new-employee onboarding complete and participates in orientations as assigned. 
  3. Manage and supports assigned program administration for ensuring HR responsibilities and areas of assigned compliance are supported as required by employee type or healthcare system.
  4. Performs employee transactions and maintenance in ADP Workforce Now.
  5. Carries out specific responsibilities through maintenance of effective employee relations by facilitating communications channels with departmental supervisors, business associates, and employees ensuring specific program HR policies, compliance, and procedures are communicated and followed.
  6. Works with managers and employees on employee relations issues, including performance, corrective action, conflict resolution, counseling, performance, terminations with direction from HR Manager.
  7. Keeps employee records up-to-date by processing employee status changes in a timely fashion. 
  8. Manage leave administration to include FMLA, ADA, and disability programs. 
  9. Maintain personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements, clerical assistance in organization, accuracy, and maintenance of HR documents and confidential employee files.
  10. Keeps up to date with process and procedures for all employee groups.
  11. Assist with affirmative action program; filing of EEO-1 annual report, maintains and logs information to conform to EEO regulations.
  12. Files and supports employee Worker Compensation claim submission and follow-up, as necessary
  13. Participates in administrative staff meetings and other meetings and seminars as assigned.
  14. May assist with audits and recommends any corrective action.
  15. Actively participate in continuous improvement culture providing recommendations and implementing enhancements to current technology, methods and procedures. 
  16. Other projects or responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, and a minimum of three years’ experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience. 
  • Preference to individuals that have HR healthcare experience.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
  • Working knowledge and experience with ADP Workforce Now (modules and portal) is a plus.
  • Human Resources PHR or SHRM certification, is a plus.
