Position Description:
Pharmacy PennMed at Rittenhouse
Under the direct supervision of Registered Pharmacists, the Pharmacy Technician is responsible for, but not limited to the following tasks: assisting in the preparing and filling of medication orders and medication carts; compounding sterile and non-sterile preparation; distributing medication to patients; performing nursing unit QA inspections; maintaining stock levels in all areas of the hospital including the automated dispensing machines; processing mypennpharmacy discharge medications; placing wholesaler orders and maintaining pharmacy inventory.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent and Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) is required. This person must be able to perform dosage calculations; have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of hospital personnel; perform basic office environment tasks; have the aptitude to maintain proficiency in all Pharmacy computer systems, automated dispensing cabinet software and systems, and all technical equipment required to perform duties; and possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and the Internet. Additionally, this person is expected to satisfactorily pass required hospital and government validation examinations.
Some college and prior hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred, with a basic working knowledge of drugs and dosages.

This position is a rotating shift position. Hours are:
7am-3:30pm; 9am-5:30pm; 11:30am-8:00pm; and 2:30pm- 11:00pm.
You will be required to work this rotating shift and required to work one weekend- every 5th weekend and 1 summer and 1 winter holiday and rotating holiday for Martin Luther King day.

This position is for Certification Check Pharmacist at an incoming Medical Marijuana Dispensary to the Chester, PA area. Agronomed Biologics is a vertically integrated clinical research licensee that has a grow/process location along with 6 dispensary locations state wide.

Job Duties:
- Look up every patient that visits in the PA DOH portal and verify that they are able to legally purchase medical marijuana.
- Check each certification for limitations or restrictions placed by certifying physician.
- Authenticate verification by saving every event into the PA DOH system under unique user ID.
Job description:
The certification pharmacist will become affiliated with the PA Department of Health Medical Marijuana program. Job duties will be to look up each patient that visits each day in the PA DOH portal and view the 6-page medical marijuana certification uploaded by the certifying practitioner. Each record will be checked to ensure that each patient is legally allowed to purchase medical marijuana in PA. In addition, each certification will be viewed to ensure that any limitations or restrictions placed on the patient by the certifying physician are followed by the patient. Each certification check finalizes in saving the verification event in the PA DOH portal under a unique user ID. This is an essential part of the dispensary functionality within State DOH compliance.
Must possess current, valid PA Pharmacist license in good standing and must be a resident of the State of Pennsylvania.
