University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a motivated and driven Pharmacy Technician to join the Medicines Management team based at their Poole Hospital site.
The successful applicant will be accredited in both Accuracy Checking and Medicines Management (including medicines reconciliation and managing patient’s medication requirements).
You should be able to work as part of a team but also have the ability to work flexibly and independently in a professional manner. The role will involve interaction with a variety of people, including patients, nurses and doctors; therefore applicants must possess excellent communication skills. You will work on wards rotating through our different directorates and there may be the opportunity for cross site working at The Royal Bournemouth Hospital site.
We have a fully automated dispensary along with electronic prescribing and pride ourselves on an efficient, safe service.
You will be required to work on the late night, weekend and bank holiday rotas. You will also be required to work flexibly.
Please note: if this job requires you to have a DBS check to enable you to properly fulfil the requirements of the job, on appointment you will be required to repay the cost of obtaining a DBS check and this amount will be reclaimed from your salary.
