The role:

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to get involved right at the beginning of our Automotive journey; joining our existing Automotive team, this highly impactful role will be a major interface with customers in terms of our product use and design, ensuring that the customer is always at the heart of our development. You are also likely to be involved in other markets.

Automotive Application Engineer Responsibilities:

•Lead the initial design of appropriate materials within automotive
•Understand and analyse industry trends to inform future developments
•Liaise with suppliers of outsourced processes
•Own the final stages of making our automotive materials into car seats
•Liaise with customers on ELeather product use in their seat designs, resolving potential issues/barriers for use
•Own product specification and write go-to-market packages
•Work with internal stakeholders and test houses to deliver development opportunities
•Expand ELeather’s product range to incorporate new grains and colours

Automotive Application Engineer Requirements

•Educated to degree level in a scientific discipline with a minimum 5 years’ experience within an automotive environment, preferably with seat manufacturing and the understanding of the complexities of integrating materials into a seat
•Experience of working within an IATF16949 environment
•Good understanding of commonly used secondary processes used to make seat covers
•Resilient with excellent stakeholder management skills
•Strong problem-solving ability – Root cause analysis, Design of Experiments etc.
•Ability to assess and analyse situations and make effective decisions in a timely manner

• Run the test laboratory, manage testing, report writing and management of risk for the team
• Produce both technical presentations and applied samples as and when required in support of sales for customer demonstration and information
• Assist the Technical Services Department in supporting sales with regard to product testing and application techniques via workshops, occasional customer visits and internal training
• Manage the Bonding Excellence platform in which we ensure that higher risk applications in the façade market are checked, tested and controlled from a Technical view point
• Assist the Head of Technical in ensuring all product groups and customer groups can be serviced by the Technical Services Department
• Fully utilise and become conversant in SalesForce, Sika World, communities etc. to enable coaching level for TM Industry
• Assist the Head of Technical to ensure the Laboratory is set up correctly, kept in an orderly organised manner, conforms to EHS requirements and all documentation and retain samples are monitored and stored according with Sika rules

The Process Burner Applications Engineer will focus on technical support within the EMEA region through applications solutions, proposals creation, technical support (both office and customer facing) and through supporting process burner sales. The applicant will engage both end users directly through revamp / retrofit enquiries, along with EPC's involved in capital projects. In this role you will work with our Technical & Sales team In Tulsa, along with and reporting to our Process burner Manager based in Stamford.

Primary duties include but are not limited to:

• Applications solutions into proposal creation New capital project and revamp / retrofit (Analyses of the requirement and understanding of technical capabilities, into composition of accurate and detailed proposals in a timely manner to meet the customers expectation)
• Composition of cost estimates Tied to a market-based sales structure
• End user technical support To involve also face to face interaction at the customers location
• Close engagement with the projects team to ensure optimal handovers
• Close interaction with the Process Burner / Design teams to fully understand both new product development and the existing technology portfolio
• Commercial awareness to optimise the proposal potential
• Travel to customer's facilities to present, discuss and negotiate proposals
• Be responsive to Zeeco's customers and internal product groups, ensuring their needs are being supported as well as clearly communicated
• Build relationships with complimentary suppliers and service groups to assist our customers and grow Zeeco business through strategic partnerships.
• Ensure Zeeco are on the vendors list for all Zeeco products.
• Travels to customer's facilities to trouble-shoot equipment problems if required.

 The person:

• Degree in Engineering or suitable experience/ apprenticeship

Purpose of the Sales Applications Engineer Role:

Upfront the sales activities for Lean Manufacturing Division, and aid in compiling technical quotation to clients. Lead sales activities in finding new project enquiries from existing client base and potential new clients.

Sales Applications EngineerResponsibilities:

•Lead all sales activities for Lean Division.
•Field based sales nationwide.
•Business to business sales, developing relationships, managing accounts.
•Develop appropriate internal and external sales channels, relating to products and territories.

FIELD APPLICATIONS ENGINEER – DISTRIBUTION - MAIDENHEAD

This position is based in our Maidenhead office in the UK and will support European Channel reporting to the Sales Director – Distribution Europe. The successful candidate must understand Power Electronics and be capable of performing first line technical support for the European Distribution Channel. Must be proactive, results oriented and self-motivated

Main tasks will include:

• Customer support via email and phone
• Training distributors and product presentations to customers
• Participate and drive design reviews
• Implementation of the technical strategy for key customers
• Providing optimized theoretical designs (paper designs) which include high voltage transformers

• Be able to review PCB layouts and give recommendations

• Knowledge of LANs, WANs, MPLS, VLANs, VPNs and firewall technologies, ideally support worldwide locations including China and USA
• Experience of Office 365 product suite, including Teams, SharePoint, Unified communications, Mobile Device Management.
• Ideally experience of moving from Exchange 2013 to Office365 enterprise and F1 / K1

• Experience of supporting engineering user environments is desirable; CAD (Catia / Solidworks), Altair Hyperworks, SmarTeam document management.
• A track record of building effective relationships with stakeholders in a medium-scale organisation

• Strong working knowledge of security best practices and how these can be optimised in an IT operational environment.
