POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide daily production support as defined by the Manufacturing Manager to support daily production requirements. Tasks may change daily depending on needs of the business (i.e. special projects, to start ups, to rapid turns on a wet clean, to pre-weighs, etc.).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Skilled and knowledgeable in multi production functions, including, but not limited to, machine operations, various machine/area cleans, machine set up, and product start up
• Operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner
• Transfer material as needed
• Learn all relevant aspects of the computer system including inventory transfers
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safe Quality Food (SQF) and company procedures
• Adhere and comply with all safety policies including reporting any unsafe acts or near misses

• Help promote and support company health and safety policy practices and procedures
• Assure adherence to all elements of SQF systems and policies
• Always performs tasks safely and comply with GMP policies

Purpose and Scope:

This position is responsible for the efficient day to day operation of the production rooms as well as the development and management of the production team. This position is also responsible for motivating the safety and continuous improvement culture while achieving operating goals to meet growth expectations.

Safety Expectations:

1. Responsible for department incident rate consistent with IFP company goals. Must maintain department safety rules compliance and be a positive safety role model.
2. Responsible for training all department employees on safe work practices.
3. Responsible for ensuring an organized, clean and safe work environment.
4. Ensure procedures and work practices have appropriate safety review and new equipment is reviewed for proper guarding, safe operating procedures, and lockout tagout.
5. Must have regular safety discussions with team and proactively listen to employees' safety concerns/suggestions. Must act upon those concerns and provide feedback.
6. Responsible for implementing corrective actions after an incident or near miss.

Responsibilities:

21. Perform audits within the production areas for paperwork accuracy and compliance with SOPs, GMPs, and Safety procedures.
22. Assist Commercialization group with scale-ups and customer trials.

5. Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, ERP)
6. Mechanical aptitude/trouble-shooting ability
