Responsibilities:
+ Assess, develop and grow the Public Sector Civilian Splunk IT Ops business to exceed sales targets.
+ Develop joint sales plans and sales strategy with the field sales team for overachieving sales targets.
+ Work jointly on all aspects of the sales cycle to secure new Splunk IT Ops customers
+ Capitalize on both new and existing relationships to introduce Splunk IT Ops offerings
+ Upsell and cross sell Splunk IT Ops Solutions into existing and target accounts
+ Initiate engagement with targeted accounts and their respective buying centers; lead the opportunity creation/development process.
+ Drive proactive campaigns to build the pipeline, use knowledge and skills to prospect, qualify, negotiate and close opportunities
+ Effectively forecast your sales business and drive predictable and optimal business outcomes
+ Leverage Channel and Alliance partners to deliver growth and scale your business
Qualifications:
+ 10+ years direct and channel selling experience to large, federal enterprises
+ Very comfortable and knowledgeable of DoD Agencies, including the Air Force and Army, and line of business
+ You will have 5-10+ years of solution sales experience selling enterprise software to mid-size to large enterprises (required), start-up experience encouraged!
+ You have previous experience utilizing partners, channels and alliances to sell more successfully and overachieve your quota.
+ You have sold a similar complex solution software and have experience in any of the following: IT systems, enterprise or infrastructure management, application development and management, security, business applications and/or analytics
+ Working experience in direct sales of IT Operation Management platforms in correlation with application, networking and systems management tools. A strong market landscape is required.
+ You will be highly motivated and have extensive experience in successfully selling large enterprise solutions.
+ The right candidate must have strong presentation, written and oral communication skills, as well as the demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
+ Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing or related discipline preferred.
+ 50% Travel required.

Minimum Hiring Standards:
Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.

Education/Experience:

  • SANS GIAC/GCIA/GCIH, CISSP or CASP and/or SIEM-specific Certification, preferred
  • Experience with complex cybersecurity investigations.
  • Hands on knowledge of current federal/state laws governing investigations, evidence collection and handling, civil and criminal proceedings.
  • Effective independent judgment/decision-making and problem resolution skills.
  • Able to prepare accurate, clear and concise reports.
  • Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Able to interact effectively at all levels, including management and across diverse backgrounds.
  • Able to prioritize and complete multiple assignments simultaneously while preserving the integrity of the investigation process.

    Project is a large, multi-year, complex project, which will require substantial business process redesign and change management to be successful. The current accounting and procurement systems are COBOL mainframe applications over 25 years old. A main goal of the project is to modernize and optimize internal processes, many which have developed because of the rigid legacy technology, rather than best practices.

     

    The following is an overview of the position.

    Seeking to hire a full-time contractual position to perform the Communications Lead Role on the Financials, Grants, Procurement, and Supply Chain Process Redesign and Planning Project. The  Communications Lead will be responsible for planning, preparing, and leading the communications related activities working with the key agency and central department subject matter experts, leading the software evaluation activities, outlining the overall communications strategy and plan, leading the execution of communications efforts, and creating the next phase project plan.  This role will also be responsible for reporting status to the  Change Management Lead.

     

    Work activities:

    •           Create communications strategy, plan, and timelines.

    •           Develop and lead the execution of the communications plans.

    •           Create and distribute communications content to impacted stakeholders and project team members.

    •           Create and deploy the communications templates and standards including designing, configuring and maintaining two-way communications methods via Office 365 or other Office Automation technologies.

    •           Meet deliverable schedule.

    •           Collaborate with the team members to create and distribute communications content to impacted stakeholders and project team members. 

    •           Liaise with functional and technical teams to facilitate issue resolution and completion of deliverables.

    •           Escalate issues which affect delivery and quality that are beyond scope of influence.

    •           Providing accurate and detailed weekly task reports.

    •           Engage subject matter experts and working group members to gather information, provide input, participate in workshop sessions, and review and approve work products created.

    •           Present work products to the Change Management Lead, Project Management Office to facilitate their approval.

    •           Track multiple work product progress and completion using Microsoft Project, Excel spreadsheets, SharePoint, Visio, PowerPoint, Work, etc.

    Skills/experience REQUIRED of the assigned staff:

    •           More than 10 years of ERP and/or BI selection and implementation/upgrade experience as a communications lead.

    •           Ability to keep data confidential.

    •           Industry and/or consulting experience with hands on skills working on technology-enabled process and organizational redesign and change initiatives.

    •           Hands on experience with communications and web portal delivery tools.

    •           Knowledge of Full Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) from a Communications perspective.

    •           Experience creating communications content and delivering this content to impacted stakeholders.

    •           Experience with financial, grants, procurement, supply chain business and business intelligence processes within public sector, higher education, or healthcare industry clients. 

    •           In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience working on vendor enterprise resource planning packaged software and business intelligence/data warehouse solutions that focus on providing public sector, higher education, and healthcare functionality and technologies such as Oracle, Workday, Microsoft, SAP, Infor, and related Cloud Business Intelligence Solutions.
