Youll have the following responsibilities

Accountable for defining developing successful, sustainable and profitable long-term relationships with our largest and most complex regional public sector customers. Will be responsible for maintaining effective, multi-layered customer relationships in key accounts, whilst demonstrating knowledge of the Public-sector decision-making processes to add value, becoming a trusted and valued partner to their business.
Able to draw on multiple sources of information and insight (customer, competitors, market insight/trends, group insight, trading/economic environment) in order to formulate win strategies with customers
Develop a strong understanding of the customer’s requirements and transformational roadmap ensure robust account development plans exist for each customer accurately portraying the competitive landscape and how BT is positioned within it
Lead on customer satisfaction improvements with the aim of increasing NPS (net promoter score)
Utilise sales process tools to define, develop and own key customer relationships and customer contact strategy, enabling other teams to deliver BT’s products and services by working closely together

Youll have the following skills & experience

Demonstrable and strong experience within Public Sector Sales
Proven expert in interpersonal and stakeholder manager skills; leading and facilitating discussions at senior levels (CxO) with our customers and BT Enterprise for board-to-board customer conversations

Your Role

With a sole focus on Public Sector organisations, you would be expected to proactively work with the well-established public sector sales team to ensure Softcat are in the best position to develop, uncover and close new opportunities – and respond effectively to new tenders & requirements. Our Public Services Group comprises a team of 500 nationally including circa 300 in the audit group.. With our reputation as the market leaders of assurance services to local government (40% of appointments) and the NHS ( circa 30% of appointments )  clients intact, the team are now looking to recruit a Director. You will join us and develop as an engagement leader, taking responsibility for a portfolio of public sector clients and a focus on the strategic growth of the team.

The ideal candidate will be at Director level looking for an opportunity to take a leading strategic role. You will be currently operating as an audit Engagement Leader within Public Sector Audit, with a focus on people experience. You will hold an accountancy qualification and a high audit quality rating. You will have a passion to work within a collaborative, high performing, and inclusive working environment to drive business growth and valued client relationships. We keen to grow our audit practice by bringing in the right people, so we do not want to be restricted by grade. If you are an experienced Senior Manager ready for Director, then we would be interested to speak with you too.  You will need to be an existing Key Audit Partner ( eg authorized by ICAEW to carry out public sector audit)  or someone whose work is emersed in public audit so that you could meet the Key Audit Partner requirements.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You'll take the lead on dealing with a portfolio of NHS and Local Government clients with minimal partner input
  • You’ll act as a trusted business adviser to our clients
  • You’ll be leading client meetings with senior members of our clients’ workforce, including Chief Executives and Finance Directors
  • You’ll be trusted to oversee all aspects of client engagement assuming overall responsibility for allocating work
  • You’ll work with our Senior Managers and Managers to ensure they’re being supported and coached, whilst identifying any areas for development
  • You’ll be client facing and contributing to winning work

Who we're looking for:

  • You'll hold a professional accountancy qualification (CIPFA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent)

The Role and Responsibilities
Manage and deliver audit engagements from planning through to completion. The role will require proficiency in IFRS and UK GAAP (FRS102). You will have your own portfolio of clients with responsibility for agreeing audit timetables, briefing the audit team, including other specialists, monitoring budgets and supervising the KPMG audit process. This will include:

Your Role

The continuing success and expansion of the business means the Legal team are becoming increasingly busy. We are looking for a commercial paralegal who can provide pragmatic, commercialand jargon-free legal advice to colleagues at all levels of the business.

You’ll have a proven background in providing advice on, and the negotiation of, customer and supplier contracts, as well as being experienced in working within a small team without the resources of a private practice lawyer, or confident enough to work on this basis.You’ll also need to be able to work flexibly and effectively to manage a varied workload and respond to changing priorities.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Advising on framework terms
  • Reviewing and negotiating customer and supplier contracts to flow down framework terms
  • Creating bespoke contracts where required e.g. referral agreements

What we need from you

  • Legal training (law degree/GDL and LPC or equivalent e.g. working towards CILEX qualification)
  • Experience of working with commercial contracts, including drafting, preparation, review and amendment; conducting negotiations; and advising on the effect of legal provisions
  • Sound technical understanding of contract and tort law
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence to work independently on own caseload and ability to work under pressure
  • Enthusiasm for what we do and a willingness to take individual responsibility for ensuring legal knowledge is up-to-date and ongoing professional development
  • In-house experience (through employment or secondment opportunities) or otherwise able to demonstrate a good understanding of the challenges faced by in-house lawyers and how to overcome them

The Role

What you bring to the team

· Excellent sales and negotiation skills at all levels including CTO/CIO/CISO level
· Extensive local eco system knowledge in the cyber security market (VARs, Alliance Partners, System Integrators)

In this role you will to provide support to payroll management by inputting to the system, interrogating it, and ensuring all allocated entries or requests are completed in a timely, legal, and accurate manner.  This function covers more than one company payroll, and all input and changes are to be made to suit the date of the run of the payroll to BACS systems, and this will be to meet daily, weekly, monthly, periodic, and annual deadlines and schedules.

What will your day to day look like?

  • Providing timely, accurate and legally compliant advice, support, and information to managers, for a minimum of 4 payrolls
  • Maintaining confidentiality and security of any payroll and employee systems, to meet company, legal and statutory requirements
  • Ensuring that the following processes are operated effectively:
    • Inputting and amendment of employees’ data accurately and in time for the relevant payroll run, and BACS and pensions data submissions
    • Making changes to employee status on the payroll systems – starter, leaver, amendment, marital or partnership, bank details, tax codes, pension changes, jury service, etc
    • Carrying out processes to achieve statutory deductions
    • Carrying out processes to achieve payments for maternity, paternity and other non-routine changes
    • Providing references for employees for mortgage, accommodation, or other personal requirements
    • Ensuring accuracy of data in payroll systems and marking up documents to indicate input has been completed
    • Interrogating the databases and hard copies to produce management and budgetary information on a routine and an ad hoc basis
    • Auditing work, amending as appropriate, and reporting on any perceived anomalies so that the line manager can assess and deal effectively
    • Organising appropriate communications to staff in relation to pay in a timely manner: eg: bonus, salary review, maternity, etc
    • Carrying out weekly pay processes to achieve a timely payroll run
    • Attending meetings to identify priorities and workloads
    • Ensuring documents exist for an audit trail of changes to the payroll system.
  • Managing staff on a day-to-day basis in the event of Management or delegation of duties.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the role’s level of responsibility, as required

How will you stand out?

  • Knowledge of payroll, government, specifically dealing with Local Government pension scheme and i-connect and taxation law
  • Must be CIPP qualified
  • Generalist experience of handling diverse requests from managers and employees
  • General business experience in understanding and supporting business objectives
  • Experience of compiling data and producing reports
  • The ability to interact with both internal and external customers at all levels
  • Good organisational and administrative skills
  • Good written and telephone communication skills, with the ability to relate to external agencies, employees, and all levels of management
  • Ability to work on own initiative within the required remit, setting personal objectives and presenting own decisions and concerns about anomalies, with good time management skills
  • Ability in Microsoft applications, with advanced knowledge of Word and Excel being desirable

Our managed service provider that specialises in IT Services, Cloud infrastructure and automation software, is looking for a Bid Manager to support their IT Services and business development team, in what is a newly created role.
You will work closely within the sales and bid team to take ownership of the bid process and identify and respond to public sector tender requests for this managed services provider, whom have grown from 25 people to over 70 in the last 8 months.
Responsibilities include:
  • Identify relevant opportunities on public sector frameworks
  • Take ownership of the bid response process
  • Manage the bid qualification process (bid/no bid) for new opportunities
  • Understand, dissect and review commercial and contractual requirements
  • Conduct post-bid review sessions
  • Maintain 3rd party reporting, e.g. keep up to date with public sector reporting requirements

Essential Skills:

As a direct report to the Senior Sales Manager of the North West BT Public Sector Leadership team this role will be responsible for profitably retaining, developing and growing a portfolio of the largest and most complex existing BT Public Sector customer accounts.

You’ll be responsible for achieving and exceeding business targets, expressed in terms of revenue, new product revenue growth and customer satisfaction. Your extensive knowledge and experience will allow you to build and maintain strong Account Development Plans (ADP’s) for all accounts with the creation of an account/win plan for all re-sign and growth opportunities, strongly influencing the account strategy for the relevant Public Sector verticals (local government, health, universities and housing associations) and demonstrating required actions and effective engagement of your virtual team.

Part of your role will be working across BT’s organisational sub-functions (encompassing commercial, finance, legal, service, bid and propositions) and will need to have extensive knowledge of the Public Sector. Ideal candidates will also need strong commercial awareness covering the trading environment and the customer’s specific commercial challenges.

You will act as an ambassador both in the external market and with internal stakeholders, demonstrating best in class sales behaviours and helping to deliver excellent customer experience results.

Youll have the following responsibilities

Accountable for defining developing successful, sustainable and profitable long-term relationships with our largest and most complex regional public sector customers. Will be responsible for maintaining effective, multi-layered customer relationships in key accounts, whilst demonstrating knowledge of the Public-sector decision-making processes to add value, becoming a trusted and valued partner to their business.
Able to draw on multiple sources of information and insight (customer, competitors, market insight/trends, group insight, trading/economic environment) in order to formulate win strategies with customers
Develop a strong understanding of the customer’s requirements and transformational roadmap ensure robust account development plans exist for each customer accurately portraying the competitive landscape and how BT is positioned within it
Lead on customer satisfaction improvements with the aim of increasing NPS (net promoter score)
Utilise sales process tools to define, develop and own key customer relationships and customer contact strategy, enabling other teams to deliver BT’s products and services by working closely together

Youll have the following skills & experience

Demonstrable and strong experience within Public Sector Sales
Proven expert in interpersonal and stakeholder manager skills; leading and facilitating discussions at senior levels (CxO) with our customers and BT Enterprise for board-to-board customer conversations
Able to develop, maintain and influence a network of senior and relevant contacts to support winning business for BT. You’ll also need to be able to influence internal colleagues to support the sales process and address customer concern’s in-life
Strong commercial acumen and business understanding enabling achievement of profitable revenue growth and retention results
Ability to articulate winning account plans and translate into tangible sales activities, successfully engaging cross functional virtual teams
Significant, proven industry experience and success in IT/telecommunications direct sales, generating growth and minimising churn
