Responsibilities:

 

• Under the general direction of the Clinical Manager/Director, coordinates and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care for geriatric, adult, adolescent (16 years and over), and pediatric (6 months to 16 years,).  

• Nursing care is provided in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, applicable state Nursing Practice Acts, ANA Standards of Practice, the generic and unit structure standards and/or AORN Standards of care if appropriate. 

• Accountable for identification of risks, hazards and mitigation efforts of unsafe practices.

Qualifications

 

 

• Clinical experience appropriate to area worked:
• 1 year Operating Room experience preferred
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills
• Graduation from a school of nursing required.
• Current Missouri RN license or Multistate RN License from a participating compact state required.     
• BCLS required. 
• CNOR preferred.

• Performs 10 – 15 cases per day (Avg. 250 Cases a Month): 5 ORs
• Complex cases with variety; everything but open heart or brain
• Biggest Volume is Robotic Surgeries (XI Robots, Hybrid OR coming 2020)
• Team-oriented and fast-paced environment serving a diverse patient population

• The role of the Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director. 
• The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Lee’s Summit Medical Center. 
• The Registered Nurse in department 701 Surgery provides care for ages 1-12 Months Infant,  1-2 Yrs Toddler, 3-6 Yrs Early Child, 7-11 Yrs Child, 12-17 Yrs Adolescent, 18-39 Yrs Young Adult, 40-64 Yrs Adult and 65+ Geriatric patients.
• The role of the Robotics Coordinator is to coordinate the robotics service line at LSMC to include establishing and preparing for the program and use of robotics as mechanism to deliver unique services in surgical care.
• This includes planning for and oversight of supplies, equipment, and instrumentation for the delivery of surgical care across the continuum in robotic surgery.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN preferred
• Must have a current MO RN license upon hire or a current multistate RN license.  If only a multistate RN license is provided upon hire, a MO RN license will be required within 90 days of employment.  BLS required upon hire and ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Previous Experience in the OR and one year of DaVinci experience required.
• On Call required and must have the ability to report to LSMC within 30 minutes of call back.

• 18 Bed Unit; 1:4 Nurse to Patient Ratio
• High acuity focus including Chest Pain, Cath Lab post procedure, vascular surgical patients, heart failure, and any patient on CV drip

• Opportunity to gain certifications, unit specializes in cardiac skills and growth towards critical care

Responsibilities:

• The role of the Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director. 
• The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Lee’s Summit Medical Center. 
• The Registered Nurse in 633 Medical-Tele provides care for ages 12-17 Yrs Adolescent, 18-39 Yrs Young Adult, 40-64 Yrs Adult and 65+ Geriatric patients.

• Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills required.

SCHEDULE: PRN/Per Diem

Qualifications

• BSN Preferred    
• Must have a current MO RN license upon hire or a current multistate RN license.  If only a multistate RN license is provided upon hire, a MO RN license will be required within 90 days of employment. 
• BLS required upon hire
• ACLS and PALS or ENPC within 6 months of hire.
• 1-2 years of previous experience preferred.  Prior experience in a similar size facility with similar services provided is preferred. Previous emergency, pre-hospital or critical care preferred.
• On Call Required and must have the ability to report to LSMC within 30 minutes of call back.

Cardiovascular Telemetry nurses assess acute changes in patients. They monitor and analyze the heart rhythm of patients, interpret ECGs, note arrhythmias, and intervene in emergency situations. They have high-level critical thinking skills, vast clinical knowledge, and are able to stay calm under pressure.

• 18 Bed Unit; 1:4 Nurse to Patient Ratio
• High acuity focus including Chest Pain, Cath Lab post procedure, vascular surgical patients, heart failure, and any patient on CV drip

Responsibilities:

• The role of the Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director. 
• The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Lee’s Summit Medical Center. 
• The Registered Nurse in 633 Medical-Tele provides care for ages 12-17 Yrs Adolescent, 18-39 Yrs Young Adult, 40-64 Yrs Adult and 65+ Geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing    
• Current state of Missouri RN licensure required. 
• Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills required. 
• BLS certification required at hire and maintained. 
• ACLS required within 6 months. 
• Previous clinical experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills

• Must hold a current RN license from the Missouri State Board of Nursing  or Multistate RN license from a participating compact state required
• BLS certification required upon hire
• ACLS certification within 1 year of hire date
