AWE is currently recruiting for an ESH & Quality Compliance Manager in Coulport, Scotland.

Location – Coulport (nr Helensburgh), Scotland

The Role:

  • Identify ESH&Q issues and develop company procedures and guidance/processes to facilitate improvements
  • Highlight business risks to Line Manager for escalation and action
  • Oversee the delivery of audits to ensure ESH&Q activities are performed to the standards that meet defined criteria for quality management, radiological, conventional and nuclear safety
  • Review suite of policy documentation and update to align with best practice and compliance
  • Develop and implement an ESH&Q improvement programme, including relevant training
  • Lead accident/incident investigations as requested and produce corrective and preventative actions
  • Produce monthly summary of ESH&Q activities, performance reviews and identified improvement activities to feed in to the ABL KPI Review
  • Implement the use of visual management boards and ESH&Q performance metrics
  • Provide employee status against mandatory ESH&Q training requirements
  • Be an agent for continuous improvement and business transformation

To be considered for this role, you’ll need the following:

  • NEBOSH Certificate, IEMA Certificate
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of health, safety & environmental legislation
  • Fully conversant in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001
  • Experience of leading accident/incident investigations
  • Leadership of audit programmes
  • Previously have worked within a highly regulated high hazard environment

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.

The role:

Key Accountabilities:

+ Research and analyse all aspects of existing business practices and procedures and develop detailed flow charts representing existing practices
+ Identify and interview key subject matter experts across the business to understand requirements and priorities, capture them, and play them back to ensure accuracy and completeness.
+ Create detailed plans for execution and implementation of new processes and business systems
+ Maintain and monitor existing systems and programs while coordinating the installation of new systems
+ Oversee the lifecycle of changes to the business system involving managing external supplier delivery of capability, alongside internal communications and training
+ Update the exec team and prepare detailed status reports.
+ Consult with Management to reach agreement on systems operating principles.
+ Research and estimate costs of upgrades and improvements

About You:

+ Bachelors degree in Business , Computer science or relevant field
+ A minimum of 3 years experience as a business system analysis
+ Experience of having specified, selected and implemented a significant business system or improvement
+ Level of commercial awareness and ability to determine pricing strategies or provide ‘cost vs. benefit’ supplier evaluations
+ Highly analytical mindset
+ Proficient in Microsoft office, process mapping and requirement document templates.

Overview

This exciting opportunity arises to cover maternity leave for a scientist in the R and D team. The function of this Scientist role within the Glasgow Branch of Bruker Microbiology and Diagnostics is to provide hands-on technical expertise in all aspects of Research and Development of new molecular diagnostic assays. Responsibilities

Working as a member of the Research and Development team, duties will include:

  • Research of new product requirements in line with customer expectations
  • Development of new molecular diagnostic assays which fulfil customer requirements and maintain the integrity of the molecular diagnostic offerings already available
  • In particular, acquire the skills necessary for a full understanding of the Bruker MALDI Biotyper platform and develop new molecular diagnostics assays which take advantage of the benefits of this instrumentation.
  • Development and implementation of strategies to deliver new products to a high standard and ensure project deadlines and objectives are met
  • Maintaining accurate records of work and reporting data both internally and, if necessary, to other colleagues or organizations
  • Working within a compliant framework to ensure all R&D processes are documented as per any quality and regulatory requirements
  • Delivering training on the current product portfolio to internal colleagues and at customer sites as required

Maintenance Team Leaders - Electrical

As a team leader you will provide leadership, management and supervision of Asset Maintenance Delivery craft and support team. Accountability will sit with you for the development of staff through one to one discussion, appraisals and training plans ensuring individuals potential and succession opportunities are realised.

To be considered for a Team Leader role, you must have an engineering apprenticeship with a minimum NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in a relevant technical discipline or C&G, ONC or HNC, plus industrial experience.

You will also need:

  • Experience maintaining plant and equipment ideally within a high hazard environment
  • Supervisory, leadership and performance management skills
  • To be an accredited Risk Assessor

AWE is currently recruiting for an ESH & Quality Compliance Manager in Coulport, Scotland.

Location – Coulport (nr Helensburgh), Scotland

The Role:

  • Identify ESH&Q issues and develop company procedures and guidance/processes to facilitate improvements
  • Highlight business risks to Line Manager for escalation and action
  • Oversee the delivery of audits to ensure ESH&Q activities are performed to the standards that meet defined criteria for quality management, radiological, conventional and nuclear safety
  • Review suite of policy documentation and update to align with best practice and compliance
  • Develop and implement an ESH&Q improvement programme, including relevant training
  • Lead accident/incident investigations as requested and produce corrective and preventative actions
  • Produce monthly summary of ESH&Q activities, performance reviews and identified improvement activities to feed in to the ABL KPI Review
  • Implement the use of visual management boards and ESH&Q performance metrics
  • Provide employee status against mandatory ESH&Q training requirements
  • Be an agent for continuous improvement and business transformation

To be considered for this role, you’ll need the following:

  • NEBOSH Certificate, IEMA Certificate
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of health, safety & environmental legislation
  • Fully conversant in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001
  • Experience of leading accident/incident investigations
  • Leadership of audit programmes
  • Previously have worked within a highly regulated high hazard environment
