Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Sales Consultant – New Orleans Territory to be the leading force in hunting for new business and expanding our current client base. Sales Consultants are responsible for a combination of hunting and farming. Approximately 70% of your time will be spent selling enterprise business solutions to new accounts, which will consist of independent insurance agencies with 10-99 users, and 30% will be spent on up-selling/cross-selling to agencies with 25-99 users. Sales Consultants work closely with our knowledgeable team of Solution Consultants to create business plans that will show how our SaaS and cloud-computing products can allow potential clients to more efficiently and effectively reach their goals. As a Sales Consultant with Applied Systems you will hunt for new business, and will be relied upon to prospect, cold call, open doors, set appointments, and ultimately close the sale. This is a full-time, base plus commission role with an uncapped compensation structure, requiring frequent travel within an assigned geographic territory.

We are seeking a Sales Representative, who will develop existing business, while driving new initiatives within our distribution and trade channels. The Sales Representatives will travel throughout the Western Pennsylvania marketplace, meeting with customers, securing product placement, introducing new products, and executing the company’s objectives.
This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter who enjoys being out from behind a desk, interacting with customers and driving sales.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage existing accounts while growing sales through new account generation and prospecting
Develop and implement sales strategies and objectives for each marketplace
Merchandising SX Brands products at retail locations
Securing and maintaining product placement and managing planograms
Presenting new products and product line extensions to established and prospective customers
Document and update customer information
Manage promotional programs
Develop and maintain positive rapport with owners and managers
Requirements and Qualifications:
Twenty-One (21) years of age or older
Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
3+ years of relevant work experience (Experience in consumer-packaged goods / retail sales and merchandising preferred)
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with many diverse customers
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
Travel within geography/territory, up to 80% is required.
