Under general supervision, this position analyzes sales and consumer data in support of defined sales and account initiatives. Under general supervision, this position analyzes sales and consumer data in support of defined sales and account initiatives. Provides analytical support on the category advisor team leveraging fact-based insights.  Significant portion of the role will be dedicated to the creation and maintenance of Sam’s planogram project. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure optimum utilization of fact-based information, aligned with category management best practices in order to maximize category sales for the retailer.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Data extraction, cleaning and analysis from a wide variety of available systems and synthesize that data into actionable recommendations.

  • Provide category insights and analytics through use of Retail Link, IRI syndicated data, Spectra, & MADRID etc.

  • Identify and communicate the insights and opportunities to the category team

  • Ability to leverage insights and partner with advisor in developing category strategies for growth.

  • Develop and maintain customer reporting weekly/monthly or as requested.

  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with buying staff as trusted advisor.

  • Other duties as assigned
