Job Overview

Arc3 is looking for a qualified individual to join our team as a Route Sales Representative operating out of our Richmond, Virginia location. You will play a critical role in developing and maintaining strong customer relationships because you will have direct, face-to-face contact with Arc3’s customers on a daily basis as you deliver hard goods and gas cylinders and retrieve empty cylinders by truck on a scheduled route. The job is physically demanding and time-sensitive, but you will find it very rewarding as you earn our customers’ trust by providing consistently exceptional customer service. Many of our managers started their career at Arc3 as a Route Sales Representative, so it is an excellent way to learn the business and position yourself for career advancement if you so desire.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Safely and efficiently load, deliver and unload hard goods and cylinders containing compressed gases to customers, and retrieve empty cylinders.
  • Maintain load manifests and all other vehicle documents.
  • Identify and monitor customers’ needs and maintain their desired hard good and cylinder levels to minimize or eliminate the need for emergency deliveries.
  • Operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
  • Strictly comply with all safety rules and DOT and OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain the appropriate drivers’ license and endorsements.
  • Keep the inside and outside of your truck safe and clean.
  • Perform counter sales and assist customers in the store when necessary.
  • Assist with inventory, housekeeping, showroom displays, and demonstrations as required.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
  • Class A CDL with HazMat and tanker endorsement.
  • Industry and related product knowledge, as well as experience handling compressed gases preferred.
  • Customer service or sales experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years-old.
  • Must meet all physical qualification standards imposed by regulation for truck drivers.
  • Excellent oral communication skills, ability to work independently, self-motivated, and ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent time-management skills.
  • Excellent driving record.
  • Ability to routinely lift 25 – 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in varying temperatures.
  • Ability to perform functions during occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling and finger activities. Frequent bending also required.
  • Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.

LoopNet is the undisputed leading platform for marketing commercial real estate online with nearly 9m unique visitors a month and 18x the traffic of the next closest CRE marketplace.  As an Advertising Sales Associate for LoopNet you will consult with owners, investors and brokerage firms to drive revenue through a consultative sales approach.  You will have daily contact with prospects and existing clients to promote the value of our platform, the power of our scale and reach, and its robust analytical and reporting capabilities.  A successful Ad Sales Associate is goal-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion to serve clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Relationship Management - Developing strategic relationships with clients to drive advertising revenue and be an essential component of their strategic marketing plan.
  • New Business Development - Prospect for new opportunities through cold calling and other proactive outreach methods to develop a sales pipeline and close new business.
  • Teamwork – Partner with colleagues to drive LoopNet advertising revenue.
  • Business Industry Acumen - Become an expert in your market, building a deep knowledge of the key players - owners, investors and brokerage firms – trends and the market landscape.
  • Customer Focus - Develop strong client relationships by delivering outstanding customer support through regular communication, sharing valuable insights and offering appropriate solutions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two or more years of successful B2B sales and account management experience
  • Client facing experience in the Commercial Real Estate industry
  • Proven ability to effectively build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with clients
  • Proven track record at assertively researching and qualifying prospective clients
  • Bachelor’s degree required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Ability to analyze data, build-out reporting and make strategic recommendations based on data and trends
  • Success in building long-term relationships and business partnerships with clients at all levels
  • Proven track record of rapidly growing a sales territory or market through organic growth via a combination of new client acquisition and existing account growth and consistently exceeding sales performance targets
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations at a high growth company

Principal Duties and Responsibilities 
 
•Support outside sales and branch management personnel to grow sales and profitability. 
•Provide excellent customer service to customers by answering customer inquiries, providing quotes, and processing orders. 
•Effectively communicate with customers through face-to-face, telephone, and email interaction. 
•Build customer relationships through timely and excellent customer service. 
•Acquire and present product knowledge to be able to help customers with inquiries or issues regarding industrial, safety, or steel products. 
•Help to develop sales opportunities. 
•Work with suppliers to source products, provide quotes to customers, and expedite orders. 
•Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management. 
•Participate in ongoing educational opportunities. 
  
Qualifications 
 
•Excellent customer service and communication skills (face to face, telephone, and email) 
•Reliable, organized, and detail oriented 
•Strong ability to multi-task 
•Excellent computer and data entry skills 
•High School Diploma or GED
